With the 2023-24 season complete, the 2024 NBA offseason has officially begun.
Teams are now able to negotiate with their own upcoming free agents. On June 30, teams will be able to negotiate with all free agents on the market, who will be able to officially sign their new contracts on July 6.
I'm expecting a very active NBA offseason as teams adjust to a new salary cap environment, where there will be greater penalties for going over the second tax apron in the 2024-25 season.
The shake-ups will likely begin during the draft, which starts on June 26, with more to come once teams are officially allowed to talk with all available free agents.
