First team Challenge - "Chain Game"

Partners start from the other side of a dune, and race up and over through the course all the way to a shipwreck
At the shipwreck there are several chains, each a different color
Those colors correspond to the puzzles at the bottom of the dune (and the colors that the challengers are wearing)
The chains are over 700 lbs each, and the challengers will have to drag their chain to the corresponding puzzle, where they will use the chain to solve their puzzle
The catch is that the puzzles are more difficult the closer they are to the shipwreck, and get easier as they get further out
Once the puzzle is solved, the challengers will race back up to the shipwreck
The first team to ring the bell wins the challenge and will be safe from elimination
The last team will automatically go up for elimination

Episode 3

Nelson tells Jonna that when they get to the arena, if he puts his hair up then he wants to face Tristan in the elimination, and if he leaves his hair down he wants to face Benja

At the arena, Nelson puts his hair up

Jonna and Grant choose Tristan and KellyAnne to go into elimination to face Nelson and Jujuy

Elimination Competition: Tether Brawl

To begin, one teammate is gonna be harnessed up into a sling while the other teammate is gonna try and swing them as high as they can so they can grab those building blocks.

Once they grab eight of those building blocks, tossing them into their section, their partner, that was swinging them will then build a tower. Eight blocks high. If at any time their partner drops a building block, and it falls into the center of the arena, that piece is still up for grabs

First one to eight will win the elimination and stay in the game

Tristan and KellyAnne defeat Nelson and Jujuy in the elimination

Episode 4

The Daily Challenge: Gates of Hell

In a giant warehouse, there's a fifty yard portal separated by two gates.
Their goal is to race to that first gate as fast as they can
Once they get to that first gate they'll have 30 seconds to jockey for position before the green light turns on.
When that green light turns on, that gate will open up, and in turn, the gate at the very end of the corridor will start closing
They've got to race from the gate that's opening to the gate that's closing before it closes.

Unless both partners make it through the gate that's closing, they're out.

They're going to continue this process over and over again until they have one team left
If they end up in a stalemate, they'll go to a final round where the first person to arrive at the lowering gate will win the challenge for their team
The one team to escape the gates of hell are going to be the only team that is safe from elimination and be making some very important decisions.
The last place team will be going to The Arena.

The majority of the house chooses to nominate the same two teams as before: KellyAnne/Tristan and Jodi/Benja

Wes and Zara choose Jodi and Benja to go into elimination and face Nia and Rodrigo

Elimination Challenge: Oiled Up

Each team will get buckets and collect oil from a well.
Once they've filled up their bucket with oil, they're gonna run up a twelve foot platform.
They'll then tip their oil into the well, and as they fill it up, a ball will rise inside of a tube.
Once the ball gets to the red line, they'll have completed the task.
The first team to fill their well will win the elimination and send the other team packing.

Eliminated: Nia and Rodrigo

Episode 5

Today's Challenge - "Flying Around"
There are four huge excavators
One partner from each team is going to be flying around on the end of a thirty foot arm while their partner is at a station throwing giant rings to them
They're going to be catching those rings and depositing them into a bin in the middle
Each team will be assigned 50 rings of a specific color to score as many as they can into the bin
The team that deposits the most rings in that bin will win today's challenge
The winning team will be the only one safe from elimination
And they will be choosing one of the two nominated teams to send into the arena against today's losing team

Before the challenge, everyone gets a giant smoothie that they must finish within two minutes, and they're not allowed to throw up

The penalty for failing to finish the smoothie is a 5 point penalty on their final score
The penalty for throwing up the smoothie is a 2 point penalty on their final score

Results

The two bottom teams were Ben/Casey and Wes/Zara
Wes and Zara finished last and will be in the arena

The two top teams were Darrell/Kiki and Bananas/Justine
Kiki and Darrell are the winners of today's challenge

The teams come to a stalemate at the nominations

Grant and Jonna have seven votes
Jordan and Kaz have four votes
Yes and Emily have four votes


Arena

T.J. invokes the stalemate rule which means that Kiki and Darrell will be deciding who goes into the arena to face Wes and Zara

Episode 6

The Arena

Kiki and Darrell choose Ben and Kaycee to go against Wes and Zara in the arena

Herculean Strength
T.J.: To begin one of you is gonna start on your team platform holding up those two giant bars full of weights
One of you is then gonna come over to your station and start solving equations
There are two sets of equations, blue ones and red ones
The blue ones are easier but lighter weight
The red ones are more difficult but heavier weights
So what you're gonna do is write the answer to the equation up there on the board, call for a check
If it's correct, you're gonna grab the corresponding color, race it over to your opponent's bars, distribute the weights evenly, and then continue the process
Keep solving equations, keep stacking up weights as fast as you can, trying to make it more and more difficult to hold up, because whoever drops it first is out
Whoever holds their weight up longer will win tonight's elimination round and stay in the game going for their share of $500,000, and the coveted title of Challenge World Champion

Daily Challenge - Rocket Man

T.J.: That's exactly what you're gonna be doing. Launching your partners into the stratosphere
As you can see behind me there's a giant inflatable with a platform suspended way above it
One of you is gonna take your place on that inflatable while one of you is waiting for the go on that platform
When I say go, you will jump off that platform and onto the inflatable, launching your partner as high as you can because those giant crossbars out there, three of them,
You wanna clear as many of those as you can
The more crossbars that you clear, the more time that gets taken off of your overall score
That could be the difference of winning
Once you both hit the water, you will then swim across the quarry to two platforms, one of you at each
Grab two puzzle pieces, race back to the finish line, put the puzzle together
The team with the fastest time will win today's challenge and be the only team safe from elimination
Team with the slowest, I'll see you in the arena

Daily Challenge

Legends will have the day off

It will be the global MVPs alone to win it for their teams today
They're not gonna be racing inside the giant castle, they're gonna be racing underneath it
The legends are gonna be locked up in the moat
Today's challenge is called "Tunnel Time"
Two teams will be competing with each other at the same time
When TJ says go, they will race up and over the knoll
Grab a light stick, go inside the tunnel
They're gonna start searching for country flags
They're gonna count how many flags per country
Then they're gonna come back up where each country has a corresponding number
They're gonna solve the equation
The sum of that equation equals the combination for the lock to unlock their partner
Once they unlock their partner, they'll both race down the ladder and ring the bell
This is a timed event
They'll have 45 minutes to complete the challenge before time runs out
The team to get it done the fastest is the winner, safe from elimination, making all the decisions
The team to get it down the slowest will be going to the arena

So when I say go that black tarp's gonna be removed
That is your answer key
You must take the barrels down and replicate them in your giant grid
Exactly as you see in the key
Once you get it done, you race over and hit that button
First one done will win tonight's elimination round and stay in the game

Bananas and Justine hit the buzzer, and it doesn't go off
Their sun symbol is wrong

Jordan and Kaz get their final barrel with help from the others on the sidelines

T.J.: Now first order of business. I understand Ben is in the hospital, he is medically unable to continue. So, Kaycee, that means we're losing you as well
Amber speaks up and says she's been feeling unwell, and she's been fighting and giving her all for her partner, but she wants to give him the best chance, so she would switch places with Kaycee if T.J. would let that happen
T.J.: I see two people that really really wanna be here. That's fine with me
Amber, take care of yourself

Amber leaves the game

Amber reveals to Troy that she's pregnant

Kaycee is now teamed with Troy, representing Australia

T.J.: Alright, today's challenge is awesome

So, today you're playing Ripcord Roulette
TO begin you and your partner are gonna be 21 stories high up the side of a building
Then I'm gonna ask you a series of questions
You get the question wrong, you will have to pull one of five ripcords in front of you
Four of those ripcords are dummies, they don't do anything
However, there's one ripcord on there that will send you plummeting all the way down
Oh and by the way, if you get it right, you get to tell somebody else to pull a ripcord
And at the end of this, we will have two more heats. THe winners' heat, and the losers' heat

As you can see there are two giant rotating platforms
right here in the middle of the arena
There are also two walls that are blocking two answer keys
Your goal is to see those answer keys, relay that information
to your partner.
Here's how it's gonna work
To begin, one of you is gonna be placed on that rotating platform
Then your partner is gonna be in charge of spinning you around and around
so that you can get top dead center, see over that wall, and see the answer key
Once you see that answer key, you will relay that information to your partner
who will then have to let go of the handle
You're gonna start spinning around and around
Then they're gonna start recreating what you yelled to them
The first team to recreate their answer key, perfectly,
will win tonight's elimination round, and stay in the game,
going for their half a million dollars, and that title
of challenge world champion

Episode 9

Daily Challenge

T.J.: Just like these machines, today's challenge is more than meets the eye
It's called Highway Hijacking

T.J.: Each player on the team will have a specific job
One of you will jump from the back of that truck inspired by Optimus Prime while it is traveling over 50 miles per hour
Another truck is gonna come alongside of you
That other truck has a key that you need
Jump onto that truck, grab a key, jump back, race to the front, unlock the box, and hit a detonator
While one player is doing that, the other teammate is gonna be strapped inside a four wheel drive superbuggy like something out of this world
Another robot in disguise
When your teammate hits that detonator, you will get a signal that it is time to go
When I say go, I mean slam on the gas and blast through the back wall of that truck as fast as you can
The detonator will trigger a blast that will release a massive ramp and simultaneously flash a green go light for the driving teammate
That teammate will immediately transform by hitting the pedal to the metal, smashing through the back wall and racing to the finish line

You and your partner are gonna have to work like a well-oiled machine, both inside and out, to pull this one off
This challenge is not just about succeeding, it's about crushing your competition and unleashing your inner beast

The team to do all this the fastest will win this challenge and get one step closer to the championship title and $500,000


Emily's vehicle flips over after getting past the finish line but she's able to get out and stay in the game

Tori's vehicle tips over after attempting a donut, but she's fine

The two fastest teams were Sarah/Theo and Kaz/Jordan

And continue this process, racing back to your puzzle pieces, picking one up, and doing the same thing over and over again until you grab all of the puzzle pieces
Once you grab them all, you ditch the chopsticks and start building your puzzle
First team to complete their puzzle will win tonight's elimination round and stay in the game

Her and Danny had no intentions of doing that

As you can see there are six floating platforms out there on the lake
Each platform has a puzzle piece on it
To begin you and your partner are gonna start on the shore
When I say go, you will swim as fast as you can to one of those platforms
Your choice
Grab the puzzle piece, bring it back, place it at your board
Each team will be assigned a designated color, so make sure you're grabbing the puzzle pieces assigned to your team
You'll continue this process for all six pieces
Once you get back, you will solve the puzzle and then attempt to answer a question about the puzzle
Write your answer, call check
Here's the catch, you only have three checks, and then you're done
So make them count
Oh and one more thing, you're gonna be tethered together the entire time
The team to get this done the fastest will win today's challenge and be the only team safe from elimination

Once you get through it, you're then gonna rebuild it to reveal an equation
Solve that equation as fast as you can, cause then you're gonna have to use that rope and swing through the second wall
Once you get through that second wall, you'll race over to your box, get all the puzzle pieces out and solve that puzzle
First team to complete their puzzle will win tonight's elimination round and stay in the game going for a half a million dollars, and the title of Challenge World Champion
Losing team goes home empty handed

Emily says that on the next challenge, Jordan and her made a deal where he and Kaz won't win, which gives her and Yes, or Sarah (and Theo) a chance to win

Daily Challenge
Today's Challenge is called Downfall
To begin, you and your partner are gonna start on that shoreline
When I say go, you'll jump in the water and swim as fast as you can to a colored ladder
Once you get on that ladder, you're gonna climb all the way up to a challenge symbol
The first team to untie that symbol gets their pick on which team they want to eliminate right away
They're gonna climb up, choose a color, whatever color they choose gets dropped instantly out
This is key because the first team eliminated is going straight into the arena
After that, teams will continue dropping each other, but the teams that can avoid being dropped will continue to make their way up the ladder, solve a puzzle, hit a red button which will drop the remaining teams
Oh yeah one more thing, this is your last challenge which means you win today, and you've punched your ticket to the finals, which gives you a shot at your share of a half a million dollars

To begin, you and your opponent are gonna start on either ends of that hallway
Then when I say go, you're gonna run through your opponent doing whatever you gotta do to get to the other side and ring that bell
First player to ring that bell will win that round
First team to win two rounds will win tonight's elimination round and stay in the game
In the event of a tie, we'll go to a deciding round where whoever scores will win it for their team
We'll determine who competes in it by coin toss
Whoever wins tonight is in the final, going for their share of the half a million dollars and that title of Challenge World Champion

T.J. gives each of the challengers a ticket
A train pulls up labeled "The Fear Express", and it takes the challengers to the location of the final challenge

TJ: Alright everyone, welcome to the final of The Challenge: World Championship
You've all faced trials and tribulations all the way to this point
And this is gonna be one of the most difficult finals ever
Make no mistake about it, you are all gonna face your fears
However, you get this done, you come out on top, and you and your partner are taking home a half a million dollars
It's winner take all
Only one team is going to be able to call themselves challenge world champions
And you're gonna have to experience a nightmare to do it
Alright, good luck everyone

This is Loops of Hell
You're gonna be running loops, and it's going to be hell
When I say go, you're gonna run along a treacherous trail until you reach another circular trail
You're gonna take a loop, and it is four miles long
At the end of every loop there's four checkpoints
These are first come first serve
You get there first, you get to pick which checkpoint you get to do
You get there last, and you just have to take whatever checkpoint hasn't been taken
Then keep on running for another four miles
Continue this process until all of the checkpoints are complete
You have each been given a canister with your country's flag on it
You'll have to hold onto that canister and use it when the time is right
Once you have finished these four checkpoints and 16 miles, be prepared for a whole lot more
