Brittany says well, I just wanted to touch base and I figured it would be kind of cool if all of us talked, and I know Taylor, you and I have been talking about things, and curious where your head was at Monte, since we talked yesterday morning. So, yesterday morning I know I kind of hit you with a lot at least in terms of right after the veto and whatnot, but I kind of took a step back and I was like okay, let me take a step back and kind of process what I feel like I was hearing from you, and throw that back at you and see if that aligns and kind of share some ideas that Taylor and I were thinking that might be beneficial for us three potentially moving forward in this game
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says so what I heard, and I'd love to hear if I'm tracking with you or not
Monte says yeah
Brittany says what I heard is when you're thinking about the decision that you make this week, you really think future forward, what makes sense long term for you in this game, moving forward, and then also recognizing that, realizing and that I take full ownership for, but some of those lapses in communication and trust that you and I particularly haven't had this past week, and recognizing that both those things need to coincide together and that there's a huge element, and I understand a huge element of trust that would be put into all three of us, but namely you and I in terms of if you were to put Turner up for nominations, and what that would mean for next week
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says knowing that those are kind of two dynamics that are kind of important to you thinking forward, I was just trying to wonder, what could I offer, we offer, we all three do together, that might alleviate some of those concerns. Like, how can I mess with the levers here so that the trust can go up and the risk on your side diminishes and goes down. And so here's just kind of the idea, and Taylor feel free to chime in, the idea that we were kind of thinking, what might make sense if you were to decide to go down this route... Say you do put up Turner. Taylor and I be the two votes, he'd leave. No blood on your hands in terms of that, but you did put him up so, you know, that would be that. For next week, that would leave me, Taylor, and...
Taylor says Alyssa
Brittany says why do I keep calling her Angela? I don't know, in my mind
Monte laughs and says "Angela", she does kind of remind you of... yeah
Brittany says she does kind of remind you of that season... Alyssa playing HOH. We were running through all the potential scenarios of us three playing HOH. What if we could... I know some of the trust issue is, okay, Brittany we were not communicating, what if I come in next week and I'm like "Monte you're out", which I understand. I know that seems silly to me, because I just full wholeheartedly know that is not the game that I want to play. The game that I have the intention of playing, but I totally understand that that could be a concern and a fear. So how could I diminish that or alleviate that. What if we were to right now establish that if (Taylor) were to win HOH, (Taylor) would put me and Alyssa up. You would be the deciding vote. If I were to win HOH, I would put Taylor and Alyssa up, you are the deciding vote. We establish that righ tnow. We shake on it. We know that that is the plan, then it comes down to veto. So if, let's take the scenario where I'm on the block. Alyssa's next to me, (Taylor) wins veto, (Taylor) keep it the same, you win veto, it stays the same. I win veto, yes out of necessity you would go up, but you would be trusting me again that we are a final three. I would promise you on my entire game, I would vote Alyssa out, you would stay. The only scenario we worry about then is if Alyssa wins veto
Monte says, which is highly unlikely
Brittany says highly unlikely. And that's the thing that we keeping thinking on right? That we keep on coming back to. That it's like we know Turner is a very strong competitor. Here, of recently, Turner and I have a similar-ish number of wins, next week could be a all three of us vying at that, or it could be you and I working and Taylor, all there of us working together to get out, should be the weakest last link, and then just ensuring that us three are doing the popping the champagne, and doing the round table recap episode, and just in final three, ready to play the three rounds. Letting it shake out however it shakes out. Whoever you and you decide, who it makes sense to sit next to. We know that we... even though Dyre Fest went to sh** and we as this, we at least, Big BroChella did the job that they came to do and we made it, and we did it, and we just play i tout fair and square from there. Thinking that okay, if we're all strong, how much easier it could be just to get to that final three point. And even this like... okay, another concern could potentially be, or another potential weakness could be Alyssa winning HOH. Highly unlikely, but say she does. If this was your plan now, have all the conversations and deals that you want with her, and we'll step back. I'm just thinking like, I forget, I don't know I'm not so good with math, but I tried to figure out the probability of... it would be like 75+ probability if you were on board with this plan that you would not touch the block at all, and then it just kind of leaves itself up to the competitions and how we go from there
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says I trust you. I much rather be on the block and put myself in that position knowing that right now, if you were to win, that's the case that I would be in and my game would be entirely in your hands as that kind of you trusted me with this. I trust you with that. And if you were to screw me over Monte. If that were to be something that I could leave this game with my head held high thinking okay at least I trusted the people that I was working with, who I'd always been with, that's where my actions had always backed them up when I had the chance to vote or this or that, and then you know, that, you know, I got played, I'd be... as opposed to knowing how chaotic things could be next week where, are we really together, are we not, Turner's here, I know he's gunning for one of us. By putting (Taylor) in jeopardy this week, even though I know we would have the votes to keep you, and then by knowing that Turner is gunning for one of us, or you, I mean he's never really kept his word. It could be you as a replacement or whatever, we just don't know where his head might be at. There's a very higher likelihood that us three don't make it to the end, and that just, I don't know, I guess to me it would seem like such a shame. Curious what your thoughts are on that
Monte says yeah, yeah. Taylor is there anything you wanted to say?
Taylor says I mean she lined it out exactly what I wanted to say. I win HOH, she goes up, Alyssa goes up
Brittany says and do you (Taylor)... I know we've talked about this a lot, but like I know you are unnecessarily putting yourself in a line of risk. Are you sure, you're okay with that too. Because I think the thing is that really does... Every way you look at it, it really does depend on the trust of one another, and I hope that the actions. I know last week the communication and the lack of information broke down a little bit of that trust. I'm hoping that the actions coming up so far can rebuild that, and also something too, and I don't think this is anything I've said to you Taylor, like, but I would love for you both to know... what's going through my mind is like as we get closer, we're 17 days from real life. I'm trying not to go there in my mind because we're still here and I want to be here, and this is the most important time to be here mentally, but my mind's thinking like okay God, what kind of job opportunities are gonna be out there, and I just don't feel like I've ever been in the position nor do I want to be in the position to play like I'm the married, what's my thing? Like I'm the married girl. I'm not the one that does the manipulative... it would diminish my future job prospects, my future everything. My reputation that I leave out of this house to play a game that I would diminish the trust of the people I'm working with,. That's not the kind of person I want to be or want to be outside of this house, and so I know I... personally, I'm trying to think through this with your shoes, why it would be so important to me, and I hope I could convey this. I would honor that more than anything because I'd rather have somebody betray me and get me out, knowing that I stuck to what I stuck to, because that is the game that I came here to play and to play any other ones would hurt me and my life in far bigger ways than any other way. I don't know if that makes any sense
Taylor says yeah
Brittany says at all. Just understanding what my brain is
Taylor says it's the exact conversation that we had yesterday. I didn't want to sit here and be the one to pitch because, we talked about it but it's your pitch to make, and I mean, for me, Thursday, for my game, winning HOH is pivotal to my game now. Like I have one HOH that was sabotaged in a way, so... like you've got four vetoes under your belt. You've (Monte) got two crucial HOHs and a veto, like, I'm throwing my life down for this HOH, and I know you (Monte) trust me, I know you (Brittany) trust me with that power, it's an easy decision for me who I'm keeping. If she wins I know it's the same two people I'm putting trust in to keep me in the house. But I would rather trust just the two of you next week than three people this week, you see what I'm saying?
Monte says mmhm
Taylor says I've touched the block four times, but it's easier to touch the block when there's four people, not five. See what I'm saying?
Monte says mmhm
Taylor says so... comes down to your decision, but that is the game I will play next week. If it's us three and Alyssa. Hands down you (Brittany) and Alyssa go up. You (Brittany) win, hands down, me and Alyssa go up. We are safe, no matter what. And then the game that we play from then on, going into finale cause, I mean I've said that to you before like... Turner in final three, that is a hard, hard win. It feels like more of an even shot for any of us, and honestly like. The case that I'd have to make for either of you is harder for me in this final three, but I feel like I have more of an argument if it's us and Turner, us and Turner, it's like
Brittany says it's interesting because I feel like all three of us have a different particular complexity going up against Turner now. Granted his HOH was the Michael one, so that's kind of hard. You know, you (Monte) started Leftovers with him so going up against him you share that. I don't know how I'm gonna untie my game from Michael. I'm gonna have to figure that out if I get lucky enough to get there, but that's a whole other thing. Like you said, it's just a different kind of angle going up against him. And it's honestly not even thinking about that far out. It's more just like I feel like there'd be, we have such a variety and diverse skill sets that whatever the competitions are I just feel like how it shakes out. I think I might have a shot if it's a puzzle, but if it's a f***ing hold on to a rope thing and a wall thing, you guys have known, I either drop first or I do okay. There are no in between so far in my game. But that's something to be said. We know that in the final three, the first round is always something physical and then they jump to the end. You know and... I don't know.I guess just thinking through this it's like okay, if you felt comfortable with this plan and you know that there's literally the least amount... choosing to trust in both of us would mean the least amount of you seeing the block on ensuring a final three... that. Then we've stuck together. I don't know. You shouldn't do anything for the poetic justice of it, but just knowing that okay we still stuck to Leftovers didn't get the job done, but Big BroChella did you know, and that we stuck with that, and then however it shakes out. I would much rather go home a third knowing that I was with the people and I was lost that competition that prevented me from being able to do this, as opposed to a oh my gosh, I feel like I got fed to the wolves. We broke early. This sucks
Taylor says you did say that yesterday like what was it like, you'd rather not be fed to the wolves but actually, how did you say it yesterday?
Brittany says I mean, I guess you know, I look at somebody like Turner who is so strong
(feeds cut)
Brittany says ...both of you to evaluate your own game. And determine you, you, you you, you you, for all of us three to just determine who it makes most sense to just sit next to based on how you feel jury is and this and that, and I would respect any decision that is made from that vantage point
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says I don't know. I know Big Brother, you can't expect it to be fair based on this or that but it just seems like that, seems like our destiny is more in our own hands, and it doesn't require any sort of betraying, of initial alliances and I wanted you both to know where my head's at. Another additional layer where I would hope that you could trust that I promise 100% I stick by my word is that I also think more long term and also I want to... If I'm going to one day hopefully work with clients where they want me to coach them or if I go back to school be a therapist or something like that, they're going to have to trust me as a human and I want them to see those actions that I did... I am saying that I did and I follow through with that, and so...
Alyssa interrupts
Monte says is there a chance you can give us a second?
Alyssa says okay
Brittany says yeah... just that I'm... my line of thinking 17 days out is that we have this whole next chapter of our lives, and I want my game to be able to reflect that too because I know that there's more at stake for all of us than just who wins and how far we get, that kind of thing
Monte says yeah, I guess, lot to think about. This does require a lot of trust on my end. Cause I"m pretty much just saying I gotta hope and pray that you guys are being truthful in all of this and I think, I just look at... I tell both of you the same thing all the damn time, and please let me know, have I done anything up to this point to lead you to believe that I wouldn't follow through with my word on anything that I've talked to you guys about
Brittany shakes her head no
Monte says if there's anything, please let me know. Whether it be, you know, the time where you and Michael were exopsed as a Festie Bestie, and I went ahead and you know shared information with Nicole in hopes that her and Daniel wouldn't win the power of veto. That came back to bite me in the ass for multiple weeks straight
Brittany says totally backfired and...
Monte says whether it be me volunteering myself to go on the block with Jasmine, knowing that if she won the veto, I'd likey be going home that week, which is completely understandable from a game perspective, but that was a risk that I was willing to put myself in for the group, for the greater good. I don't know if there's anything I could do to establish my trust any further with you folks right?
Brittany says yeah
Monte says I hope that that's, if that's agreed, then I feel good. If there is anything that you fee llike I"ve done then let me know right now because I'd like to address it and get it off the table. If there's anything
Brittany says no, I feel like we've talked about are you more closely aligned with Turner, things like that. You've shared and it all checks out, and it all makes sense. I understand that a lot was ruffled up with Dyre Fest, and I understand that those that came back in tried to plant seeds this and that. I 100% trust you, believe you, know that you're with us, which is... and I hope on the other end of things, I know that last week the communication was off, but I also hope that our actions, when we were the two votse to send you out over Jasmine, that checked through. I know a lot of the conversations that we had. A lot of people were pitching a lot of things "ooh should a shot be taken in Leftovers early?" There were times when you had made yourself vulnerable. Even though those weren' tmy direct actions. I was in the room with Michael with those conversation I was having with him. That was ultimately never an option. I hope tha tmy actions to... setting aside the miscommunication of last week also reflect that, then I'm just trying to think that what else can I offer that says that "hey, I will be exposed." I will do that thing that you did a couple weeks ago that you win HOH. It's not an option. Monte's not on the table. It is me. You will be the one deciding vote. You don't even have to consult with anybody else. And I'm trusting that vote will be Alyssa and it will not be me. I totally get where you're coming from. You put yourself in that position before and it is scary. But I trust you. I just. I do. And to be able to get to that plaec. I don't know. I just want the world to be able to see that there can actually be... I know that's bigger than game and I know that you can't take that into consideration cause we're all playing a game, but wouldn't that just be nice... I don't know. It'd just be really nice. It'd be really nice to show some people that you can say that you trust me and I can say that I trust you and it checks out. Like... I don't know. I just. I would like the opportunity to be that
Monte says ...here's a fluffy ... try to create a final two with me. Which we've always done. Right? So for me to like ignore that. And ignore the fact that whole week we didn't have any conversation of what's past this week, it just feels very foolish of me to not consider that and weigh that into consideration. I will say that yes, it would be a lot easier for us to compete against Alyssa and 100% know that we can move forward from there, but it's just hard for me to feel like yeah, I can just throw my game in your hands and know for sure that at the end of the day, these conversations that you were having with other people, and that you didn't have with me was all just a fluke and that I shouldn't consider that going into this week. That's very hard for me to do at this point. As opposed to Turner being very transparent, even to the extent where I believe that this week I could get him to vote for Alyssa to be out... well
Taylor says well you don't know that
Monte says but um I feel very confident that at this point in making a deal with Turner to not put him up, that he would vote to keep Taylor and that even if he didn't, you would vote to keep Taylor, and I've never done anything for you guys to feel like you guys couldn't trust me. And at this point I would make the decision to do what I need to do to make sure that we're all here. Cause I truly feel like I need all four of us to be here next week, in order for myself to be in the best position
Brittany nods
Monte says that's how I feel right now. I do understand what you guys are offering, and it is something that, it is to be considered and I will sit on it, but those are just my concerns
Brittany says mmhm
Monte says and Brittany our conversation yesterday, it was not very helpful to be honest with you. Cause I think you had mentioned, look Monte at the end of the day, if you put up Turner or if you put up Taylor, that's all gonna be considered for the vote next week. To me, that sounds very much like a threat
Brittany says I'm sorry
Monte says so that does not rub me the right way, and I don't feel like I deserve to be talked to that way when I've done nothing to create any sort of mistrust
Brittany says yeah
Monte says so to me it's like, and I can go on and on about this stuff, but this is just to me like some of the things I have to consider in extending my trust that you would not bite or go back on an agreement that we're talking about right here, where I now have to put myself completely at risk to somebody who, you know, put me in a position where they're saying if you don't do something, there's a risk that I won't follow through on the other end. Where very much so next week, if the two of you win HOH, you put up Turner, the three of us are still competing, and the three of us could still beat out Turner for a veto, and then at that point, we all have a decision to make on who moves forward. And again, what have I done to create any mistrust to make you think I would choose somebody who is a super strong competitor vs any one of you and in our agreement to have a final three. Nothing. There is no reason for you to mistrust me. So to me it seems like this is all either an effort to have me prove myself which I just don't feel like is right, or it's an effort to make me do something that's just going to expose myself or expose my game very much next week to, and again, just being very transparent, to someone who did not communicate very well with me last week Brittany. So that to me, is just very hard, for me to feel comfortable with that. And I know you're saying what can I do, what can I do, but it's just like, it seems like, I'm not sure what that is because I'm such an action oriented person and actions up to this point have led to me believing that ya don't trust me. You've asked me about Turner multiple times, and if we have a final two. Especially while we were out on the hammock in front of Michael and in front of Taylor, as if we hadn't talked about it already. I can tell you have a suspicion about that and I think that's why we're at this point right now. So it's almost as if I have to prove myself to you guys that I'm trustworthy, which doesn't seem fair, when I've done everything to show you that I am. So, that's just how I feel very bluntly
Brittany says yeah
Monte says you know, you guys can digest that and... do what you may with it. But, I can look at my actions and look at everything that I've done for your game, for you game, and also for the very good of the Leftovers, even if the case of Michael last week. I could've backed out of that, I could've said no, I'm worried or whatever have you, but I knew that we talked about that. We had those conversations. I was proactive. It's not as if I just did it off of the strength of me wanting to do it and it was some plan that didn't include you guys. You guys knew that that was a potential. Everything I've communicated. Like everything is here. My whole game is here
Brittany says yeah
Monte says so for me to feel like I have to prove myself by making a move that exposes my game next week, it just doesn't feel all that comfortable
Brittany says mmhm
Monte says naturally
Brittany says yeah
Monte says and I think if you were in my shoes, you would probably think the same thing, but I can see how from your guys' perspective, like, it definitely does benefit your game to make sure that Turner's out next week, and then next week, there's a lot less competition going into it. I just don't know what that does for me and knowing that there's been some trust that's been disrupted over the past week, and that the basis of wanting this person out could be the same basis for wanting me out next week
Brittany nods, and says yep
Monte says is that fair?
Brittany says no I think I completely understand where you're coming from and it's kind of the meta-perspective from it, it just is like man, good move. It makes me sad because I'm recognizing that seeds that Turner has planted with you created distrust in me. Seeds that Alyssa planed with me, created distrust in you and Turner, and it's like ah man. That's exactly what they wanted. That's exactly what they wanted coming in from Dyre Fest. Like... and it sucks because you believed those. I believed this. I couldn't gut check and tell you, hey this is not true, this is not true, because I didn't know what was being said. No one told me until you won HOH. You shared some of those things with me. You (Taylor) had that conversation with me yesterday. I didn't know what was being flung around against it until I knew exactly what that was. So I understand that that is hard. That I couldn't pre-emptively come tell you because I didn't know what I was defending against. Some of those things are just not factual. And I'm sorry. I understand if that's gonna blow me up in some way. But I hope one day you can understand that that's why I wasn't able to come to you with that, because I didn't know what to come to you with, because those things just were not said
Monte says in the case that. I think we talked two days ago, Brittany I think you had communicated some of this stuff to Michael that week
Brittany says yeah, about me talking to him
Monte says to Turner?
Brittany says yeah about talking to Turner about looking at jury, but not throwing anyone under the bus, not having a final two. I feel like a conversation that was just two former alliance members talking, blew up into something way bigger than it actually was. Yeah, I talked to Michael about that. About what it was, but it blew up beyond what actually happened
Monte says mmhm. So you never said anything about the girls alliance to Turner? You never said anything about Taylor and I getting close? and nothing of that nature?
Brittany says I mean we were just looking at the memory wall talking about different dynamics. I don't think it was... nothing that we said... it feels like it was just common knowledge of just us talking. Nothing like factual, and it definitely wasn't any final two thing.I just feel like a seed of a little thing just got planted, and I can understand how that can benefit Turner, I can even understand how that would've benefited Michael on his way out as some way to kind of defend against staying for me. I get those things. I almost respect them as game moves. And I especially respect them as game moves now that it is driving a wedge between you and I, and like
Brittany says I feel very played. I guess that's what the thing is. I feel very played by that and the fact that you choose to... and I understand where you're coming from, but you choose to believe that over the 50 something days of my actions and my words that I hope was with you and that you... you know, it just sucks. It just really really sucks to have something like this that got blown out of proportion in an unfactual way to erode everything that... actions
Monte says so you never said that stuff about Taylor and me getting close
Brittany says no
Monte says 100%
Brittany says no
Taylor says to Turner
Monte says never said it to Turner
Brittany says I don't, I mean no. I really don't. I wish I could go play it back in my mind but no. I don't know. I would not throw you guys under the bus like that. Like that's just... I understand how he would blow things out of proportion to try to plant the seeds that Michael goes. And it makes natural sense that Brittany's the next one going. That's the only thing that I can make sense of it. Because I'm working with you guys. I was not... He's put me on the block three times. We are not working together. I would not blow up to talk with him. That doesn't do me any good. That doesn't make any, any any sense
Monet says so he didn't offer you a final two?
Brittany says no. No talk of final two. I'm not working with him. He put me on the block three times like. I made it very clear that we are not together
Monte says Brittany, the other day you told me he came to you wanting to establish a final two. That was two days ago. We just talked about this. It's just hard for me to hear you say one thing, and right now you say something different. It's hard for me to establish trust when I'm hearing two different things on two different days. You see what I mean?
Brittany says Monte I just... I don't... I don't remember. I don't remember that. All I know is what I experienced
Monte says okay. Let's erase that. Let's talk about a bigger topic Brittany. Let's just be real here. Why in the hell did you and Michael not tell me and Taylor not tell about Kyle during the week of Big BroChella? Like, why wait until Michael wins the power of veto. Assuming that he was gonna take you down from the block and knowing that there could be a replacement nominee that could put us in jeopardy to share that information with us . What was the thinking behind that? Because I really would love to get like clarity on that situation. Cause that seems like another example of things that were discussed, but were not discussed with Taylor and I but were kept siloed with you and with Michael until it was beneficial to share the information. I'm very curious about that because this seems along the same trend of there's certain things that you share with these people, and there's certain things that you don't. And that seems like another example where you coulda shared it. What was the risk to your game to share at that point? But it wasn't because of what? I'm just... very curious
Brittany nods
Brittany says a lot of those conversations that I had with Kyle? I'm realizing it wasn't til we were in that group situation. It was brand news to me, and I know I've shared this with you Taylor, that Michael had heard those things during his HOH one on one with Kyle. The first thing I had heard anything with Kyle was right during your (Taylor's) HOH, right before we go into Dyre Fest or whatnot. We're in a group. Me, Michael, and Kyle are around the hammock. He's saying some things that hit me like red flag. Michael and I take a day or two to discuss that. Michael's more adamant, I now know that he had... that this was the second time Kyle had seemed to trigger a red flag for him. First time for me. Michael does not share that he had heard other comments. He was just like "hey, is this what he's suggesting? Did you hear what I heard" "Okay, I'm not sure". I'd like to sure, and I know that this is something that i don't have very much experience with, but Kyle had never said anything that made me seem to think that he believed these types of things before so it felt very out of left field. It felt very out of character. I wanted to gut check, I wanted to make sure before I said anything out loud that I understood. So I needed another conversation with Kyle. Then we go directly into Big BroChella and it just felt like at that moment, I didn't know how to handle it. He's out there, we can't bring him in to discuss. We're locked in here inside. It just... Michael and I discussed it, we went back and forth, and I recognize now that it's, that it's difficult because we probably made the wrong call. We probably sat on it and we didn't know but we knew that the ramifications of saying something like that and him not being there to be able to say anything or defend or do everything that happened the week that we did share, that that was going to be... because that's bigger than game, we didn't want it to seem... it's like every single scenario. If we share it during Big BroChella well then that would be oh we only shared it cause Kyle wasn't there and he couldn't defend himself. Okay well if we wait this next day it looks like we're trying to stir things up before noms. If we wait here, it looks like we're trying to create chaos right before a veto. There was literally every single thing. Literally every morning Michael and I would check in and be like "do we do it now?" "well I don't know, I don't know" and it just seemed to make the most sense when it happened. And I know that... I know I'm gonna look back and I'm probably gonna have a lot of people to answer to in terms of that timing but I hope you guys can understand that it seemed like it would look some certain way regardless of where it was, what time it was and that we knew being in this situation, we knew that saying something no matter what timing it was, was not gonna be good for our game, and I mean God look back at Michael, you can trace it exactly to that. He, Turner. For Turner to take action on Kyle that week, needed an agreement that he would be promised not to be put up on the block. Michael wins HOH the next week, he sustains that promise, does not target Turner, the next week is the double eviction, Turner wins HOH and gets Michael out. Michael was right in terms of that not helping him with this game
Taylor says that... anybody who was gonna win that HOH was gonna go after Michael that week
Brittany says ...one more week for Michael that how things did play out since Turner did win. I think I was one question away in that instance. I was jus tone answer away. If Turner didn't win there, it could've played out a million different ways. Terrance could've been in there, so we don't know who else would. We don't know how it would've went down but how it did you down you can trace down and see that it did ultimately how it went down hurt Michael's game in that respect. I'm not saying that that's... that's fine. That was the risk that was assumed by sharing that information
Taylor says I think the only risk in Michael going home last week was the fact that he was just too good of a player. If... you (Monte) would have put Michael up if he had won HOH. Alyssa would have. Terrance would have. I probably would've too
Monte says I was one question behind Turner. I could've won HOH
Taylor says yes
Brittany says I'm not negating all of that. I'm not negative all of that. I'm just saying how it actually played out and who did win was somebody who did not go home because there was a promise made by Michael. And hey, that was Michael's decision to make. That was Michael's game. I can sit here and defend it as a friend, but it wasn't my decision to make. I know that there's nothing that i can say that will fully allow you guys to internalize until you're able to watch it back and you're able to see the deliberations that we went through and the difficulties in how it transcended the game and how the timing was never gonna look right, and how we were caught in this thing where we felt like potentially if we're wrong we're destroying somebody's life, but then we're also not helping the people that we care about, that we're working with by saying nothing, and literally, I'm not expecting any sort of understanding or sympathy or anything but just that it was literally the most difficult decision I ever had to make in my life and it felt like a lose lose either way that I looked at it. I either hurt you guys. I blow up Kyle's life. I do it too soon. I do it at one person things it's the right time, but another person doesn't think it's the right time. I do it too late, and people think it's not the right time, it's opportunistic, and I know that that's something that I'm gonna have to answer and explain myself about and I don't feel like I have the ability to say that other than that was what was going through our mind at the time.
Monte says yous aid that that week before Dyre Fest, you had to make sure to gut check before sharing that information with us.
Brittany says yeah
Monte says and then the week of Big BroChella you didn't want to share it with us because Kyle wouldn't be there to defend himself
Brittany says yeah
Monte says the time between when we got back from Dyre Fest, from big BroChella and the time that you shared the information. There was no conversation with Kyle about this stuff... was there?
Brittany says no. We went directly into the...
Monte says that's my issue. is that. You're saying your reasoning for not sharing the information ahead of time is that you needed to gut check. All of that time went by with no gut check, but yet you shared the information
Brittany says I think it was like three days where we had an HOH, noms, veto
Monte says yeah, so there was no gut check though
Brittany says no gut check at that time. Our deliberations. Then it became not much needing a gut check, we had done that, before it was more okay now we're coming in from Dyre Fest, we're learning all this explosive blow up. You (Taylor) and I are on the block. The Leftovers for our knowledge has officially gone out the window. Do we say it right before an HOH while everybody's coming in and it seems like we're creating chaos? Do we say it right around noms, and that seems to suggest that by sharing this, that's trying to influence Turner's noms in any sort of way? Just how it... I guess what I'm trying to say is I hope how it seems any day we would've picked leading up to that, there's a reason why we could be having this exact same conversation of why it would seem suspect. And so once things died down a little bit, we said okay, now we can have this conversation because things are more set in stone. For Michael and I's point of view, we can have this conversation, because it seemed like it would be suspect any other day as well. I feel like I could've... and this is perhaps why we disagree, and why I love hearing your perspective on it, because that's how it felt to us when we were trying to determine that, and we recognized that other people might feel differently... and that it just felt like a lose lose lose lose lose, either day you picked of those three days that were in question that we're talking about.
(feeds switch)
Monte says ...gut check it before you shared it with us. And then the week after, there's no gut check
Brittany says we go immediately into Dyre Fest, Big BroChella, and the now have these three days of HOH, noms
Monte says no gut check
Brittany says yeah
Monte says so the reasoning changes all of a sudden the week that we come back from Big BroChella and Dyre Fest
Brittany says cause I gut checked it before. I had that one on one conversation with Kyle, then we go right into Dyre Fest. So it's been gut checked. Now it's, okay we need to tell
Taylor says in the bathroom? That's what you're saying
Brittany says yeah. That's my conversation in the bathroom with him. Which is like okay I say "okay, you get what you're saying right?" and he's like "yeah, Cookout, Cookout" and I'm like okay that's all the confirmation that I need. That had been over and done. I knew that I could say something now, and I knew I wouldn't be misspeaking
(feeds switch)
Brittany says ...a real thing. The chaos that happened. Those three days it was like okay do we say it this first day? We're all reintegrating. That seems like we're trying to blow up something the moment people get back. Okay, oh noms wow, Leftovers aren't a thing anymore, okay we're on the block. It seems like we're trying to influence that if we do it before, if we do it after, we're creating more chaos? Now, we gotta win a veto because Michael's gonna be backdoored and I'm on the block. Let's just get that right, done. That's the next thing that we do that afternoon or that evening. And then, once we do that... if we try to do that before, it looks like we're trying to create chaos right before. If we do it directly after, when do we do it directly after, and then we do it that next, early that morning in the Have Not room when we pulled you guys upstairs. And I know it seems like it should just be this seamless thing, but it's also these moments in between where Michael and I are trying to find time to just have this conversation by ourselves. This heavy conversation where we won't be interrupted trying to compare notes. Trying to catch up on things.
Monte says you guys didn't have time?
Brittany says it's a process. It's a process of many discussions because we knew the weight of what it would be for everybody involved
Monte says mmhm. But you guys didn' thave time to chat?
Brittany says in between all of that on those three days? Very difficult to find those times. We've had multiple discussions in between there, but a lot of weighing, okay if we do it now, how is that perceived. If we do it now, how is that perceived, and then eventually, we just had to rip the band-aid and said okay we're doing it now. We're doing it now, and we'll see how that goes. And you know what really sucks about this, and I know i don't expect anybody to understand, is that we were discussing these timing things, but we literally thought we were making the best decision we could at the time. Like I think that's one of the biggest surprises, and that's why I said it in my veto speech. It was the biggest blindside to me to see that the timing was still hurtful, because we really thought that we picked what would make the most sense, given what we were weighing, given the situation we all found ourselves back from Dyre Fest. We thought that that timing was, out of a lose lose lose lose lose situation, i twas the less lose of the one. And then to here that other people don't feel that way, I am glad to hear it because it brings that to my attention but I hope you guys know the intention behind it was not anything but trying to pick the best of many awful choices
Monte says yeah, I mean Brittany it's just, it's along the same trend of you're having trustful conversations with Michael, right, and you're deliberating things with Michael, and even after all that information's shared, Michael still decides to use the power of veto on you to make sure that you're safe because your games will definitely not be at risk at least for that week after sharing that information. It just... doesn't feel good to then have that be a thing, feeling like well if we're all in this together, if we're all communicating openly, we've all come to each other throughout this entire time of the Leftovers being formed, sharing whatever
(feeds switch)
Monte says ...making it seem like you guys... it wasn't as if like something miraculous happened when he was here vs when we were at Big BroChella. What were we gonna do that was gonna put you guys at risk if you would've shared it? TO me it was just am is trust thing. It was a why should we share it with them if it's not gonna benefit anything
Brittany shakes her head no
Monte says in that moment when you guys did, it totally benefited the situation. Kyle goes up so he is the clear target for that week because of everything that's going down, and the risk to your game is essentially nothing, because granted Turner was insulated the following week, but was that the terms that he made in order to do it in order to feel safe? Did he pressure you guys to all say that?
Taylor says yes
Brittany says yes
Taylor says he pulled the three of us in the bubble room and he said if I do this I need reassurance that
Brittany says and we had another conversation here too that he wanted to put up Kyle but he still wanted you (Taylor) to go home. And the only way that he would... the only way that he would not do that is if either of us made the promise, that either Michael or I won the HOH next week, that we would not put him up, we would not evict him, we would not anything. And Michael did win HOH the next week and he did honor that promise
Monte says mmhm, but nonetheless we all talked about how Michael was vulnerable the next week with that HOH. Either me or you would've won that HOH based off the scorecards. Because I got the last one wrong. We would've been tied for 5-5. Either one of us would've won. If the veto would've played out the same way that it would've, Michael still would've went home. That's not the reason why he went home. It wasn't a risk to his game that he did not share... or that he made an agreement with Turner to not take him out the week before. That was the terms that were laid out based off of the game move that was made to share that information
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says and then you look at last week, where again, whether you call it fluff or not, even if it was all made it, and it was exacerbated to be something that it was entirely not true, it's another example where the entire week, Taylor and I were sitting here hearing this information from Turner, well I hear it from Turner, me, sharing it with Taylor, and there's no conversations being had about these things being presented to you. These things from Dyre Fest or these people wanting to work with you. None of that was shared with us, and then come to find out, those people are sharing that information with us, and it just seems as though it was convenient to not share it because why share it if this could possibly help my game, and if these people are not coming after me, at least they'll come after them. That's what it felt like
Brittany nods
Monte says so again like I'm in a situation where there's like multiple instances where there's clearly not like the level of trust that I would've extended to you in sharing information about things that was important, not only from like a personal level, but from a game level, to people that I'm trusting and that I'm working with to move forward and continue to make sure that that trust is established. To me, that trust has been eroded so much. And even in the recent conversations that we've had where it's an ultimatum if I don't put up Turner, then you're gonna reconsider the way you could vote next week. Whether it be you mentioning that second place would be fine because you only need a certain amount for you to go through with the things that you need to go through with the childbirth stuff, which I respect 100%, but to bring that personal stuff into a conversation about game, just doesn't feel appropriate to me, to be honest. And then to hear you speaking about Taylor wanting to do all this stuff with the girls, and her entertaining it, and I can't believe this, that, and the third, and then to find out then the next day after you win the veto and you guys talk, now it's different because you have that safety and you're secure this week. It just feels very off-putting all of this stuff that's been coming around, and I've just lost my patience for it to be honest with you.
Brittany nods
Monte says and then to hear like this deal that I have to make in order for me to earn my trust with you
Brittany says no
Monte says it just seems awfully awfully absurd for me to even think about that. Not for your (Taylor) sake, because I've already told you about where we stand in all the communication we've had, but for you and me Brittany, it's really hard for me to feel this way. Even the fact that I asked if you had a conversation with Turner about game this past week, and yous aid no, meanwhile Turner tells me and Taylor and says you talked to him about a final two and making sure that that's continued to be established. If that didn't happen and he just made that up, then wow, he's doing a great job of lying
Brittany nods
Monte says but then the fact that you then had the same conversation with Taylor about the same exact thing and didn't tell me about that, it's just multiple things that add up that I just don't have a lot of like... and I respect and love you as a person. Don't get me wrong, like this is just game stuff that I have to trust a person with my game moving forward
Brittany says it's hard. I hear how you're seeing it through a game lens, but a lot of it especially the stuff with Kyle is that it had to step out of game and why the timing took so much is that it was so much bigger than game. And I understand, this is exactly the scenario that we were worried about. Exactly how ti would be perceived in a game sense. And why we knew it was not a good game move but you do it anyways because you can't sit back and have things work out for your game and know that you know this, and neither Michael or I wanted to get further in this game or win this game potentially, making the right game moves with any of this, knowing that it would be only natural for everyone else to view it through a game lens, but we know that we can't view it through a game lens because it's bigger than that and we wouldn't want to win the game in that way
Taylor says you and I have had a lot of conversations about how I feel about the timing. Monte and I have had conversations. We differ on how we think about that. That's us being different people. But I cannot say that Monte is wrong or incorrect in feeling the way he feels
Brittany says absolutely, and I'm not saying he's wrong either. Everyone is entitled to feel and I appreciate that you guys are explaining that to me. I just wanted to point out that a lot of the things that you're mentioning, and I totally understand how they're all being viewed through the game lens. That those decisions are being viewed through a game lens, when the decisions were being made not in a game lens in most majority of those aspects
Taylor says did Michael talk to you about his plans with the veto before using the veto?
Brittany says that week after Pride Slide?
Taylor says yeah
Brittany says yeah he did, and he said it was really difficult and he didn't know what he was gonna do and it wasn't until literally right before that he said he was gonna do it and he said he's gonna save me. Because he felt like based on the reaction of the house, which... and this is probably ignorant of us, we were not anticipating there to be a negative reaction. WE were trying to... Because we had deliberated and talked through this so much, to the detriment of the timing, that we thought we were doing it at the best possible time, so it took both of us back to hear that that not everyone agreed with the way that we went about it and so he thought... ultimately he did not know if he was gonna use it on me, on you, that he felt that at this point in time he didn't want either of us to be at risk, and he felt that in that moment I was more at risk because of the sharing of this
Monte says after Turner said that he wanted Taylor out as his main target?
Brittany says yeah. Because Turner was sitting right where you're (Taylor's) sitting. I was sitting right here, Michael was sitting here. He was talking. And granted, you have to give Turner some grace with this. I feel because eh was being hit with a lot. It was his HOH. He was internalizing this. We didn't know at the time that he had a final two with Kyle. So he's being hit with a lot there in that moment, and there's no easy way to share that. Btu his first... his first response was thank you for telling me I'm glad to know, I did not know that, because we didn't even know if he knew all that or not, or if he had the same proposition and he just accepted it. We didn't know. He was close with Kyle. He said sure, I'll put Kyle up, but the target's still Taylor, or could you promise me next week of safety, and the target would be Kyle, and we'll get people on board, and that's what we, Michael and I agreed to.
Monte says mmhm
Brittany sighs and says man guys, I just want to say I'm sorry. I understand where you're coming from. I also could sit here and defend all day on each point and...
Taylor says we still have the actions that we have. My frustration now... I can be frustrated with Michael for the choice that he made with the veto. You didn't agree to that use of the veto. He didn't collaborate on that decision with you intentionally, and know that going. Like you did not know until just moments before the ceremony
Brittany says I was checking with him. I said please, I would love if you could use it. This house is in chaos, I would love if you could use it on me. I do feel at risk, but that was intentional. I checked with him in the storage room right before, and was just, "is that an option?" and that's when he told me. But when I checked with him the night before on that it was still "unsure". I can't remember. Do you remember when he picked the movie picks because I know at some point in time he said "well I'm going to... I'll end up using it on you" but I think he picked movie picks after. I know we had a conversation about movie picks and he was like "hopefully Taylor will understand. Maybe I can invite her to the movie. Hopefully that helps" He felt very... he was very conflicted. He was very very conflicted about what he was going to do, and I think ultimately what happened is he felt that if he wanted to help both of us, he felt that I was at more risk in that one moment than you given the whole situation we found ourselves in. I can't speak for him any more than that other than that conversation in which he did share
Taylor says I know to speak for him and his decision. That's something that I have to grapple with, and he and I will have that conversation at a different time
Brittany says yeah
Taylor says as far as my relationship with the two of you separately. I am very frustrated that in my relationship with you and Michael, sitting the block on eviction because of somebody else's decisions. I'm the pawn again. I'm the collateral again with what could play out tomorrow. I'm sitting on the block, again. Having to trust someone who has put me in jeopardy multiple times to commit to a word when they have said a word to me and gone back on it. I just need both of you to understand how I am livid about having to continue to be in that position five times in this game now. And I'm still choosing to trust both of you, after everything. Because I would be kicking and screaming, throwing things about having to go on the block, then and then. So you two just need to understand that when I tell you, in my separate relationships with each of you, regardless of everything that I've swirled, heard, felt conflicted about, I still choose each of you, every single time before moving forward. And I feel like I have been the person to assume the most risk out of the three of us continuously, and it can not be understated how intense that is, and how much I don't show the emotion of that.
Brittany says I'm sorry you're in this position because of the things that have happened, and how they've been perceived. I understand where you're coming from Monte. I understand. I guess can I just ask you one question. Do you trust me or not? Or am I just. Is it just too far gone?
Monte says at this point it might be. I don't know. To be honest with you. I don't know what could change outside of just. Cause there's been some irreversible damage to be honest with you. That conversation yesterday was the most frustrating conversation I've had with anybody in this house, since I've been here. To be threatened and then to be blamed for not sharing information that I heard about you with you, when you could've shared that information with me ahead of time
Brittany says I didn't know it existed
Monte says alright. Okay. That's your word
Taylor says well, the fact of the matter is, both of you are here next week, and I have done everything that I can to unite the two of you, but I can't super glue this part of a triangle together. From what I'm seeing from this conversation. All of last week, you both know I was like bring Brittany in, bring Monte in, trying to unite this. Both of you know that I've been trying actively to really bring this together and I'm sad, I've done what I can, but both of you are still here next week, and again I'm in a position where I'm sitting on the block and I'm vulnerable to not be here next week. I trust both of you when you tell me that you both will keep me here. We will see what Turner does, and that will show a lot going into next week, but it does seem like at this point, the only way the three of us make it to final three is if either of us win HOH and veto and choose to take you, and you (Monte) know that I'm always choosing you, you (Brittany) know that I'm always choosing you, so... It is a... next week is a power grab to secure your own safety. That's what I'm taking away from this conversation. It's not the three of us as a unit going into next week
Monte says yeah perhaps, I just, it's hard for me to feel threatened and be told that things weren't shared with me because it was just fluff and you know to not be included on conversations that impact not only me as a black man, but then my game. It's hard for me to pile up that list and say ignore all of that. Let me put my faith and my game in Brittany's hands for next week. That is tough for me to do right now
Brittany says I'm sorry, I had no idea that these things ran so deep. If I would've known that this was percolating the way that it was I could've had a. I wish I could've been able to come to you sooner and clear up these things sooner. A lot of it was just a lack of awareness that it was even there. I felt so clueless last week. I know that even when you talked to me it was just like, I could sense that people are distancing themselves, but I didn't know what it was for, then the double eviction happened, and I guess I thought it happened because I'm close to Michael, and literally Michael's speech is the one that clued me in of him saying stuff that there's anything being thrown around, thrown out about me. I didn't know. I just knew that people were distancing themselves and that felt sh***y. Like that's the only thing I could sense that something was wrong. I wish I could've known how deep it was running so I could've caught it while it was simmering before it boiled and... and I'm so sorry that yesterday felt like a threat to you. That was not my intention whatsoever. I guess I just wanted to know do you want to work with me
Monte says what would question that. Why would you be questioning that at this point Brittany?
Brittany says I guess being on the block and hearing some of the things that I had been hearing, that we cleared up during our conversation... our first conversation and our conversation yesterday about working close with Turner. Because I didn't know that this working percolating so much, I guess I just assumed that it was us three like for sure, no doubt, like, not a discussion, and so to hear that there could be any inclination otherwise, just doesn't make, I mean you can attest to it Taylor, I was talking to you, I just there must be something I'm not seeing. There must be something I'm not aware of, like, it just doesn't make sense. Now, hearing everything that we have here, I'm understanding everything ran a lot deep and there's a lot more weighing on you rightfully so that I was unaware. Couldn't begin to have that conversation with you, not knowing that was a conversation that needed to be had, you know what I mean?
Brittany says I guess I would just. If there's any last thing I could ask of you, one do you want to work with me moving forward? Two, if you don't what do you expect of me to do with that? Can you say Brittany i don't trust you, I don't want to work with you, and I win HOH and I still keep you safe, does that replace it? What can? It's sounding like it's irreplaceable. It's sounding like it's irreparable. What am I to do that now to earn that back? Can I earn that back? or should I just be a sitting duck until you or Turner win something that takes me out? Like is that? Is that how...?
Monte says I mean if you win HOH, you're in final three. What does it matter at that point, right? Like, just logically speaking, it doesn't matter if you put me up or not. At the end of the day it's gonna be up to either Taylor or Turner to keep me or not. Which, I would feel better about those situations just based off of the communication that's been open and clear, so I don't know at this point what there is to be done to make the working relationship past next week any more viable, because it just feels like everything that I"m being told is to get me to prove that I am trustworthy and that I am working with you when I've done nothing to suggest otherwise. Literally not a damn thing. But have been questioned multiple times about whether I'm working with somebody else, which just doesn't make any sense. And now I'm in a position where like, again, my actions are all founded because Taylor was completely fine, Turner, Alyssa, everybody knew based off of what was happening last week, hearing this information circulating around you, and even to the extent where, I remember very specifically, a time where we were hanging out in the back yard, and you came back in from a meditation, and Michael's napping by the pool, and we're saying hey, maybe we should get together and have a conversation, and you said oh no, let Michael nap. But then today, Taylor's slumped, and you're like Taylor's fine with us just waking her up and having this conversation, and it's like
Taylor says she did ask me
Monte says but what I'm saying is like I just can't help but find so many contradictions with things that I hear from you at one point vs other times where it's just completely contradicting, and it felt like last week there wasn't much of an effort to talk about the game past this week, maybe because you just assumed that everything was fine on our end. We didn't need to talk about much. But at the end of the day, if people were coming up... like you said. You told me that Turner, and you told me this two days ago, that Turner and Alyssa, after coming back from Dyre Fest, having no game, have been coming up to you and establish something ,and you specifically said final twos, and now you're saying those final twos were never a thing
Brittany says I said that they said they were working together. Alyssa said that they were working together coming in from Dyre Fest, not with me.
Monte says that they didn't want to establish anything with you
Brittany says no, I had the one conversation with Turner to let him know that hey he was the last one that I hadn't talked to in terms of just letting him know if it needed to come down to Michael, like our three plan, if Michael had to go, that "hey, I'm not standing in the way of that"
(feeds switch)
Monte says ...that you did not ... when there was no additional information. I told you everything the night before, and to hear... and then you said "oh, well it was just a different perspective now that" and I just seems like there's so many different excuses for things that are said, but it's just not... it's not consistent
Brittany says I know, and I know it's not gonna make any sense, but I had that cider in me and I wasn't quite remembering things, and I know that isn't... that sounds like and excuse, but that is the truth of that. You (Taylor) started from the beginning. Because I wasn't there for all this, I'm basically learning all of what last week has been said about me all at once because the first time I was ever clued in on it was Michael at the eviction speech. You kind of started outlining things. It just registered a little bit more than when you and I talked. It just was a little bit more detailed, and a little bit more, this is the conversation when it happened here, here's who was involved, where it happened, it just went chronological. I understand you and I only had a conversation 4 in the morning, cider in. IT wasn't as in depth. That's what I mean. I was in the physical ability to connect the dots more and understand what was happening, after just giving like the hellish day 65 that I'd just gone through, where I just lost my best friend and gone through a double eviction, and now lost HOH by nine seconds, and we're talking one cider in. I know that that sounds like whole host of excuses, but I need you Monte to understand where my mind was coming from cause, I feel like we're both experiencing the same thing, and we're both telling each other... we both have our own different stories of it and I understand why they're not gelling and it's just oh my God, it's gonna be just such a shame
Brittany sighs
Brittany says it really just makes me sad because I feel like we're gonna look back at this and it didn't need to end this way given that it just was like, it feels like passing trains. It feels like we're both experiencing the same thing just through super different lenses which are not allowing us to... to connect in the way that could be, you know what I mean?
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says and I know that's hard. And I don't expect you to hear it
Brittany sighs
Monte says yeah I mean it's tough. I don't know. Maybe I just have to sleep on this and think about it a little bit more, but it still very much feels like... especially after yesterday's conversation, where so many things I felt like were out of line were said, that I just had to sit there and smile at because like, because I'm a processor, and I didn't want to sit here and you know create some sort of big scene about it. I just sat back and said wow, this is how she feels about me, that I haven't, you know made enough effort to create trust, and that she still thinks I'm working with Turner more than I"m working with her and Taylor that she feels this point to
Brittany says I'm sorry, I was buying into the lies too. That were being fed to me. Just like you're buying into the lies that were told to you. Alyssa was in my ear, comments that Turner made in that one discussion where we were talking about jury management would look like, seemed to suggest that you guys were a lot closer than I had thought. I feel bad because I can empathize with you, because I was the same sh** that you're hearing and processing about me, I was hearing and processing about you, and that's exactly that plan. Like this conversation, we should just invite Turner up. He would love to watch it. I'm sure this is exactly what he wanted. This benefits his game so much. Touche. I was doing that too, and processing, and it wasn't until we had that conversation that I realized okay, no those things aren't fact. I'm looking, okay I'm on the block. I understand based on how things went down, I can understand that there's some distrust. I understand your initial decision to put me up there. And then now hearing that Turner isn't just...I guess to me not knowing that our trust level was so low, it was just like what? Why in the world would Taylor go up. One of us three, when Turner could go up, and that just makes so much sense, and that ensures that all three of us are good moving into next week. So that hesitancy made me think okay so something must be going on. That's what I keep on telling you, I was like there must be something I'm not seeing. There must be something I'm not seeing. I'm thinking we're good, so why would the decision to put me up, and the decision not to put Turner up. Those decisions don't align with us three being good. Like, I didn't understand the depth, until you and I are talking right now, the depth of the erosion of trust on your side. I thought we were up here, and you thought we were down here. That I'm realizing the discrepancy of that now because of all the lies. That was why my hesitancy and now it's like oh my God, sh**, can we just erase yesterday? cause I was approaching it thinking we were hear, you were approaching it here, and now I can understand how the things that I would say would not register in the way that they were intended
Monet says it just sucks, I mean I had to go in the DR and...
Brittany says man, I am so sorry guys. I know ti's too little too late, but that was not my intention whatsoever. I guess I was in that moment, just like, this so does not make sense given the reality that I am presently aware of, that it must mean that we're not working in which case, if we're not working together, you must be actively coming after me next week, so who am I to be working with now? I guess no one... And that's hard to hear, because I thought we were up here, you know? I thought we were up here. So I think that's... not intended to come off threatening whatsoever, but okay if we're not working together, does that mean we're working against each other? like that...
Monte says it was an elegant way of putting it that yeah. I just see... Brittany you're so smart like... you and Michael are so smart and calculated. Like I can't sit here and think that you didn't intend to say exactly what you said the way you said it. I heard exactly what you said. You told me if you do not put Turner up next week, then if I am the deciding vote, I have to take that into consideration. What other way do you put that? It is a threat. I just don't appreciate being spoken to like that when I'm sitting here having an open dialogue. I didn't tell you one way or another what was gonna happen, but the fact that I was considering my options led you to now threaten me in that situation. It just doesn't feel good, you know?
Brittany says I'm so sorry Monte, that was not
Monte says and then it falls exactly in line with last week, you know, us not having these conversations about you having these conversations with other people in the house that did not include me. Then this week, you having a conversation with Taylor about a final two, with Turner about a final two, and I ask you if you had any conversations with these people, and you're like oh no of course not. And then to hear that you heard new information from Taylor that led you to believe that now you understand the gravity of the situation when I told you the exact same thing the day before. It's just like yo, it's like continuous nonsense that I feel like I'm hearing from you, it's almost like you're insulting my intelligence that you continue to go through this cycle with me. So like, it doesn't help, I don't know, to have these conversations, because it just feels like it frustrates me more, to be honest with ya, but like, I'm just saying at this point, this is why. I'm just very blunt and frank about why it would be hard for me to trust you in this proposed deal to have. And honestly, I don't even know if I would've found out about the whole girls thing, even if I didn't hear it from Turner. That gives me cause for pause cause it's like oh wait, Alyssa's bring stuff to the two of you and like I asked Taylor about it and you were forthright in talking about it, but at the same time like, it wasn't something that was presented to me, you know what I mean? It wasn't like... yeah this is a very open dialogue that I want to have with you guys because these people are trying to do things to build a relationship with me and huff and puff and just blow them away. It wasn't like that like how we always do. Things have changed clearly, at least with me
Brittany says yeah it just felt like such fluff, and I know I've shared this with you, it felt like such fluff that we just had to disregard, we just had to sit through here until she leaves, and then you and I look at each other like it's just such nothing. It felt like oh I'd be spreading fake news if I go around spreading that this thing that so was not real, you know what I mean? I know. I know the more I talk, the more it sounds like I'm making up excuses, so I want to not say anything anymore. I'm so sorry Monte. Just on a personal, on a game, on everything. I had no idea, no idea, to the extent, the way that I am, the way that I've... been working with you here has been so misaligned with each others games. I really had no clue. Really no clue. And I know that doesn't change anything. I don't expect you to trust me, I understand your perspective wholeheartedly.
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says sorry I'm just kind of processing because I thought... I thought we were good and I'm just trying to process like um, yeah just feeling, feeling a little alone, but I just um. I understand it. I understand it.
Monte says mmhm
Taylor says okay
Monet says I mean you guys let me know if I should be feeling any differently. Based off of everything I've received, as me being Monte feeling threatened yesterday, feeling like I'm hearing contradicting information. Feeling like I"m not being communicated with as early as I would communicate with you. Like all of these things I just add up and I"m like... even the whole Kyle thing. I was willing to look past that and completely say you know what, even if it was something that was a game move, that was playing strategically, whatever, I'll look past it because we're working together in this game. That was my headspace in it. Hence why I communicated with you, Taylor about any plans around Michael and having that opportunity to have that shot because I trusted you, and the same thing that I hinted at in the same conversations during BroChella where I felt like I Was being very transparent about what things may look like moving forward, and the following week it just feels like there wasn't much of an effort on the other end to establish that communication or open that line. With Michael ? I didn't feel like that at all. Every time that man heard something, he pulled me to the said and said "yo, this is what's happening man. This is what I've heard. He or she came up to me and said this, that, and the third" Open line of communication, like just... and that's why I felt so bad that I had to use the power of veto to make the ultimate decision that would lead to his demise in the game because I felt like personally he had been communicating very clearly, outside of the whole Kyle thing, about game and about everything else, he was being very straight up about what his game was with me and very transparent. Last week it did not feel like that was the case with you. It did not feel like at all that we were having conversations about anything that was going on on your end, but when it feels like it's now one sided, or when it feels like efforts are being made and it's not something that, you know, is something that's necessarily desired by that person during that week, it just feels a little bit off-putting, and then to follow that up with hearing information about you having conversations with other people. And I understand if it is not true, my God, I feel horrible but if it is true, then to hear you denying it and then to hear you say that oh you talked to Michael about it, but then it's oh I only talked about this part about it, not the whole thing, and oh I addressed this saying this is what I head, this is what I head, this is what I head, this is what I head. Yesterday you didn't deny that those were the things that were talked about. Now you're saying that it was only just about jury board, like it just feels... and then on top of that to feel like now I"m being threatened if I don't do something, now my position in the game is compromised with you because I haven't built enough trust. I'm just. I'm like. At this point it's more like, I think I've done enough
Brittany says no, I understand your perspective now
Monte says if I feel like I have to do anything more than what I've been doing to prove that even in the logical situation, and I hate the fact that we're down to five and there's only two options left of who to put up by virtue of you winning the power of veto, which I completely respect. You protected your game. You did exactly what you needed to do to get you safe. No fault against you with that, but now I'm forced to be in a situation where I have to consider what my life in the game looks like next week. And one person who's communicated with me very clearly and directly since the time of coming back to Dyre Fest, even with the whole final two with Kyle and everything that he did not share beforehand, at least after that point it feels like I know what his game is and it's been very transparent, and we've had open conversations about what he would do in a certain situation, what I would do in a certain situation. Of course I'm not gonna sit here and form a final two after he just told every body or Kyle told everybody that he had a final two that I wasn't even aware of, and now I'm gonna form that out of convenience? just because it's there? That to me doesn't make sense. I'm making a strategic game move based off of what trust I've established with the people I feel closest with, which is Taylor and Turner, and everything that's happened in coincidence with all that has led me to believe that you don't trust me, especially after multiple times of questioning whether I'm working with somebody else when there's no indication that that's the case. And then to feel threatened when I'm discussion options where it's like "well if you're choosing this option, your ass is grass next week" practically. So to me it's just, I can't help but think that those things continue to lead me to believe that I need to prove my trust to you, where it's the exact opposite. Like that to me, it's just hard for me to look at that resume of built up mistrust and say let me ignore that. Let me put all my trust in what Brittany's gonna do with my game next week, although I have all of this to consider
Brittany nods
Monte says that's hard
Brittany says no, I get that. I did not know that our trust was so low. I thought our trust was high. So me coming in here today was like gosh, this seems like it's high and here's a way that I could even make it higher by saying okay, in all these scenarios we will make sure you were the deciding one, that gives even more, putting my game in your hands. Because, aw man. If I knew... I just want to back away slowly. If I knew the way that I know you feel about us now, if I would've known that an hour ago, I would've understood that the suggestion would've fell on deaf ears. I appreciate understanding now, and laying it out the way that you did. I was not aware that we were not good to this extent. And I even told, I mean Taylor you even remember, we were talking about the whole like, yesterday I was like okay if I hear something fluff that I know is not true, like what am I supposed to do? I even asked you what people are supposed to do. You were like oh you go tell that person. I was like, but I know it's not true, so why would I go spread that. "Well people go and say that" That's just not the way that I would expect people to be with me
Taylor says but I just know that from my experience in the house
Brittany says yeah so I even asked you I was like okay, and now hearing that, me not coming. That's why I didn't come bring you things, because I knew that they were. I either hadn't checked them out yet to see if they were true or they felt like such fluff that it's like am I gonna be spreading fake news in this house? We saw how that worked all when we were in Leftovers, and the other side of the house. That creates chaos. I try to keep as less chaos as possible so I hadn't been sharing those things. Now I can see you value hearing those things the moment that you hear them, so by me not sharing them, it makes me seem suspect, especially if other people are. Oh my God, this is just so messy. Like I just look at every point that you say and I see where my line of thinking was, and I guess we just didn't, the way we play it just doesn't... it just didn't line up and I wasn't aware of that. I think that's what it ultimately boils down to. And I'm sorry for that, I guess I should've made more of an effort or talk to you more about the way that you like to be communicated to and vice versa so that we knew we were good. And I just feel like a huge bozo because I literally thought that our trust level was way higher than it was and ughh cringy, like there's no way I would've come in. I literally didn't know. There's no way I would've come in with this plan. I thought it was like a hey, this is a way I can show you I can put more skin in this game, you know?
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says but I can understand how that isn't something even remotely to consider if there's... if our trust level is so low.... to begin with. And I agree with you. There's probably nothing I can do with you at this point other than this conversation we've just had where I try to share where my head was at for every point where your head was at, but I understand if that's already shut down and there's nothing there, it just sounds like excuses on my part, so I don't feel like... I understand me trying to explain myself and where my head was at won't register or repair anything from your perspective. I can empathize with that.
Monte says yeah, I mean. This is how I feel. I'm being very transparent with you just because
Brittany says no I appreciate it cause I didn't. I did not know
Monte says I just feel like I've lost patience. Especially after my conversation with you yesterday where you put an ultimatum in my hands really. That to me was just like my God. I just couldn't believe that that happened. And I almost thought it was a joke at first, but then I saw you were serious and I was like wow, I feel like I'm thought of as inferior in this game or like I haven't done enough to prove to you whatever have you, but at this point I've done everything I've needed to do to do that. I have a very logical set of reasons why I would want to go through with one option vs another. I've told the both of you that, and I hate the fact that it's Taylor who has to be the one to be the one to go up on the block because of the situation that played out, but even if it was the case that you didn't win the power of veto, I think things could've still been repaired after you won that veto, and then you have that conversation where like "if you don't do this, then this is gonna happen" like, it just feels like wow, this woman does not trust me, like. So if she doesn't trust me, then what in the hell should make me think I should trust her if all these conversations are being had with other people and I'm not being clued in on it like... I'm not a part of the discussion for you Brittany, and that's very apparent. So that has to make me assume that I could very well be gone next week if I go through with this plan for you, because at the end of the day like I haven't been included in any of these conversations. I haven't been included in a lot of the talks around game, and I've been questioned more than anything than brought in to discussions to game plan. It's been more of the "Monte, you sure you didn't know?" "Monte" like, how many times do I have to say it in order for me, like there's nothing that I can say or do for you to believe that or not. So at this point for me to have to extend myself and risk all of my game next week in order for it to be in your hands is like whoo. As a logical person that is hard for me to do based on the evidence that's been presented thus far
Taylor says and to be clear, I just... I know you both know this, but again, my entire... I wouldn't be in this room for this conversation if I weren't here with the intention of trying to rebuild trust between the two of you. You both understand that?
Monte says mmhm
Taylor says yeah?
Monte says yeah
Brittany says no I appreciate that and I can understand that and yeah because I did not have the full context of where you were coming from in that moment, how in my mind it seemed like well gosh it just makes so much sense to not put Taylor on the block, you're not working with Turner, put Turner up. That if, not knowing the whole context of how you felt and our trust level. Thinking that our trust level was up here, but still considering putting Taylor up and not Turner, then I'm like I must not be seeing something. Something must not make sense. So that would... this is how I felt yesterday. I understand way more now. How I felt yesterday was "okay, then he must not be telling the truth, he must be working with Turner, otherwise why would you prioritize Turner over Taylor" so... if next week happened, then I would... that would be my clue that Monte's, I was wrong, Monte's not working me, maybe Monte's more of a threat to my game than anyone else would be, and I could see how that would
Monte says that's why you needed to put the threat out there
Brittany says I could see how that would. I hate that it was perceived as a threat. That was not my intention whatsoever, and I'm so sorry that it came out that way. I should have thought that through and how that would sound from your perspective. It was more my talking out loud, thinking okay, I must not be aware of the real situation if that set of circumstances were to happen. What is that cluing me in... what should that be cluing me into? I understand how that totally came off the wrong way and is not... now that I know all how you're feeling. Now that I know our trust level actually was here, and not here, that that... ugh God. Man... I... ugh I can't even begin to... to apologize. That really is a sucky... a sucky thing to hear, and I'm sure it did not feel good, and I"m sure if we're already here, it tanked us even lower, and I just feel like such a bozo. Like I feel like so unaware, like oh my God. I'm gonna leave this freaking house and... I'm sorry. I did not think I was such unaware. I always felt like I was pretty aware of how things were coming out and think through things like that and now I"m realizing very much... I was not privy to our relationship and where it stood
Monte says mmhm. I wasn't privy on how much you mistrusted me in working with Turner until you continued to ask me about it either. Again, an action. I've never questioned anything about your game or anything like that, but you continued to question mine when all of my actions have not led to believe anything otherwise. All of those actions compound at some point to create a belief in my mind that you do not trust me, and there it is. That's where my mind...
Taylor says is it fair to say that ultimately it put you in a position where you had no other choice but to work with Turner?
Monte says at least to hear the man out. Because at the end of the day if he's the one coming to me and communicating with me more clearly than the person I'm close with about conversations that the two of you are having, it makes it hard for me to think like, I mean I've waited the whole week, Brittany hasn't said anything about it, and yes, if this is all just a falsehood of things just made up and you didn't have those conversations about those specific things, even though two days ago, you did not deny those things were talking about, now you are... if those things were not talked about, even still the fact that that information is coming from somebody even before it's coming from somebody that I'm talking to, it just doesn't feel good, and then for that person that I'm closer to to continue to question me about working with somebody that I'm getting information from, like it just feels like what the.. he's making more of an effort that Brittany was. I'm sorry, if I have to look at that like okay, if he's making more of an effort to communicate with me, why would I think he's more likely to come after me next week than Brittany.
Brittany says because I feel like he was lying about me. I didn't know I could talk to you about that because I didn't know that those lies existed. He's going to be able to come to you sooner if I don't know that lies are being told about me. You know what I mean? Like he's the common denominator here, you know what I mean?
Monte says I mean are you open to having a conversation with... cause, it just seems odd that neither one of you have addressed the situation if it is truly a lie and it is impacting our game. I know you've said you've been open to it, but like, to me I just think that if that didn't happen, then why has it been okay for you to hear these things and not say, or not address those things that could very much impact your game. Like I put you on the block and I told you exactly why, and still up until this point, it's like there's been no need to address Turner about this situation, and to me that seems a little bit odd too because if somebody's spreading falsehoods about you, I would think that would address them and be like okay, what's this all about that you're telling people this, that, and the third, and that's not been the case
Brittany says I guess it's very clear to me that based on his past actions and now this, that he is targeting me. There's no... there's no coming back from that. That would just exasperate the situation like adding fuel to the fire. I thought we were at a better level than we were, so I thought there was room for conversation. Now I know that we're not too, so... I don't know. I'd be more than willing to have that conversation. That doesn't sound like that would repair much though from what I'm gathering
Monte says I don't know Brittany, it just... it... this is just... I have to just assess things based on what I see and people's footsteps, not words. Words come here, come there, whatever have you but actions speak louder. Even if there's a chance that those things were false, I have to then take into consideration that things weren't discussed with me, nor Taylor about the whole Kyle situation until a certain period of time where it looked awfully convenient, and then to couple that with after this whole situation. After winning the power of veto. Before the veto, one conversation is one way, where you were literally telling me that Taylor is trying to work with Alyssa and push this girls thing and then the next day you have a conversation with her and everything's repaired. Because you won the power of veto, you want to push this agenda for Turner to go, and it's just like, it just seems like all over the place, the communication. It never seems like consistent. And for me, I've had more consistent conversations with Taylor. I've had more consistent conversations with Turner, and all of them have been very open and honest dialogue about things. Whereas yesterday I'm sitting her parlaying different ideas, and now there's a threat, there's an ultimatum given to me. That just sucks. I think that was like maybe the nail in the coffin for me
Monet says even the fact that I had to address that with house guests showed me that I wasn't the only one who saw it the way that it was perceived, and the reality of it. That's what it was, it was a threat, so... That's hard for me to just like, come back from. Because we're being filmed on national TV and for someone to have the audacity to you know give me an ultimatum about a situation that I'm considering. I didn't say one way or another. I just said here's what I'm considering. That just feels like wow, like, and then to be questioned about working with somebody this whole time, I'm like alright, I can't do anything to repair anything with this woman. It's okay, like I'm at a point where I understand that you probably, and especially now that the situation is what it is, you probably still feel that I have some sort of preference toward Turner or whatever have you, and you can run away with that thought. I know you're gonna target me next week. It's okay. I'm fine with that, because, at the end of the day I know that even if he was untrustworthy and he were to try to vote for Alyssa this week, I would like to believe that you would vote for Taylor and then I would come through and show my trust to keep Taylor ,and that to me is still the over-weighing factor on where I stand in my game, because I didn't want to work with you, I would just vote you out
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says if that's not enough, then, so be it, you know? It is what it is, and then we'll just play next week, and whatever happens happens, whoever votes, votes, and I'm fine with the risk of that situation, but to put all of my game into your hands next week and say I gotta completely trust that if Taylor is HOH and me and Alyssa are on the block, or that that situation's gonna happen that you are HOH and say I don't know, Alyssa somehow wins the power of veto, where I'm sitting there and I now have to wait on somebody to make a decision for my game, it's like, it's so hard for me to get to that point
Brittany says no, I wouldn't expect that now knowing where your trust level with me lies, I would never expect you to entertain that idea. The only reason why I brought it up was cause I thought we were better, and I was wrestling, because I didn't have the awareness of where our relationship truly stood, I could see how that comment that I made yesterday would seem like a threat, whereas in my mind it was just like okay, this just doesn't make sense, we're really good, so if this decision made sense. IT was sending the signal to me that by keeping Turner in the game, you were okay with putting us at risk, knowing that he would be targeting us next week if he made it to final four
Monte says mmhm
Brittany says um, and so for me, that was like okay, so maybe Monte isn't working with us, if he's okay that Turner's still here, who would be targeting us, maybe you're not working with us, in which case, am I picking up on that, am I perceiving thing? Should I be more concerned about you? than Turner? That was where my thought process was, because I thought we were up here, and because it would seem so ridiculous to even consider putting Tater... Taylor on the block if we three were that good. Now I totally understand. I was thinking we were here. You're thinking you and I are here, so it isn't like... You could see how it would seem utterly ridiculous not putting up Turner and how that would be jarring to consider otherwise. If I knew we were down here, I totally would've understood. Wouldn't have said a word. We just let it play out and thank you for letting me know that now. I did not know the full context and how things were being perceived, and I feel like an idiot. Like I really feel very unaware and embarrassed like oh my God, this is a sucky situation. This is not... and I'm also trying to process too like I just felt like okay I lost Michael, he was really close to me, but I still got this final three, I'm still, I got my people still here with me, and just kind of like coming to the conclusion that a lot of the things that I, a lack of self awareness that was actually happening in the game last week has cost me um you, which hurts because I felt like we felt we were close so... sorry. I will go downstairs. I will process that myself. I just want to let you know that's where my head is kind of spinning and reeling right now. Just catching up to the reality that what happened last week that I was unaware of and how that's impacted where we are right now
Taylor says I want to talk to you (Monte) and then I'll come down and talk to you for a second. Two questions just between the two of us. How did Turner find out about this girls conversation, and who told Turner that we had a final three?
Monte says what do you mean a final three? How does he know that we have a final three?
Taylor says that's what he told me when he pulled me into the bubble room after he talked to Alyssa, when Terrance
Monte says I wouldn't know how he knows that we have a final three. I've never said that to him
Brittany says never said. I have literally not spoken to this man since that one bathroom conversation last week. We played ladder toss thing
Taylor says this is before Michael left, and he said
Monte says I thought he said something about a final four with the Big BroChella people
Taylor says he said final three, three of us
Monte says no, I didn't hear him say that. I heard him say something about a final four. I didn't hear anything about a final three
Taylor says mm mm. Alright
Brittany says I know you guys are not gonna believe me. I did not say anything to him remotely about that. We have literally never talked. I don't know if that... I don't know. I can't speak for anyone. He's not here. I don't know Taylor
Monte says I mean don't get me wrong Brittany, I don't hate you as a person or dislike you. I just feel like from a game perspective there's a lot of trust lost, I hope I laid that out and it makes sense, but I'm gonna talk to Taylor and try to process things but that's just how I'm feeling right now, and I'm just being honest with you about that
Brittany says no and I appreciate the honesty
(feeds switch)
Taylor gives Brittany a hug. Brittany has her head in her hands
Brittany says I just feel like such an idiot. I feel like I was wearing a doofus mask. Like literally a sign on my back that said kick me and I didn't know, goading people to kick me. That's how I literally feel right now. Just sucks cause losing Michael I was like okay that's fine cause then I have my other people and then I didn't know that the other people weren't there.
Taylor says the other people are confused
Brittany says and no one told me...it's fine. Thank you Monte I appreciate it
Monte says nah thank you Brittany. Again I'm sorry if it makes you feel some way but I do have to be honest. That's all that I have is my honesty so...
Taylor says well, I expected... I did not expect you to say yes. My plan wasn't to come up here and twist a yes out of doing that, but she and I had that conversation after the veto yesterday, and I owe it to her to have that conversation up here with you
Monte says yeah, no and I mean, I get where you're coming from with just cause you're rightfully so suspicious of Turner and maybe I do need to do some more due diligence with like fact checking certain things but it just sounds really hard
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says to find the holes in the information that's been presented when this person has not communicated this stuff with me. You and Turner literally looked at each other and talked about how she was trying to form a final two with each one of you individually
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says I don't know. And then she's sitting here and saying she didn't know information... that she didn't know that this information was out there, but just two days ago before the veto she did not deny any of it, like, but now she's denying it because she's had time to think about what makes the most sense to say about the situation. I'm just not... I don't know
Taylor says look, I don't hold any of it against you. I don't want you to think that I came up here to try to pin you in a corner either. It's just a matter of I'm stuck between... sh*** you've known this since we were sitting outside on the couches talking about everything. Like I'm stuck between the two people that I trust the most and I have done my due diligence with you and building trust with you, and done my due diligence with Brittany and building trust with her. That last piece was just trying to get the two of you on the same page, and I have done everything I can to try and do that
Monte says yeah
Taylor says and I'm not gonna just leave her out to dry when there is one more thing that could potentially build trust between the two of you, and after hearing how yesterday's conversation went, I was not gonna not be here for that conversation
Monte says yeah, no honestly if you weren't here then I probably wouldn't have... I don't think... I just probably would've said I'll think about it. But the fact that you were here I had to say stuff that you could literally back and make sure that I wasn't sitting here, making up fluff or...
Taylor says no
Monte says I wanted you to see how she was denying certain things in her responses and my retorts to that because I lie to... and I've told you about these conversations with her
Taylor says yea
Monte says beforehand, like she did not deny that she was throwing you and me under the bus when I first brought it to her. She did not deny that. Now she's denying it. But it's because it's convenient to do so and it's well thought out. But in the moment, that was her response. So like I just... to put all my eggs in the Brittany basket is just...
Taylor says no I get it. The only thing for me is like... true or not, half truths, full truths
(feeds switch)
Taylor says, she's still here next week. At four it only matter so much. It only comes down to who wins HOH and who wins veto
Monte says yeah, which is that's what I was expecting anyway. Cause I was like if she's at a point now where she's
(feeds switch)
Taylor says ...the three of us. That's not happening
Monte says yeah
Taylor says I can't keep fighting for that. Like this is so far broken, the two of you. I can't make that happen on my own. So... Like that aspect of my game has to be done unless Brittany wins, Brittany wins, chooses to take both of us at the end. There's a possibility of that, that I can't be the one making it happen anymore
Monte says that's just me assessing the risk for next week. So it's like okay. Do I look at the risk and say keep Alyssa and Brittany, and Taylor, only one of which I trust would actually keep me if I"m sitting on the block? Or keep Turner, Brittany, Taylor, two of which I trust would keep me if I'm sitting on the block? It just comes down to that equation to me
Taylor says I'd make the same decision. My only counterpoint is the thing that I've said in here last time we talked downstairs. I just wished that I wasn't being put in danger. I wished you could trust me enough to see the temptation of the juicy steak and still honor
Monte says yeah, I hear you on that. And I do respect where you're coming from on that part 100%. I've toldy ou how I felt about that, and I also
Taylor says scared sh**less
Monte says yeah scared sh**less, because now like... it's , and it's not a matter of like me not trusting you. It's almost as if I was saying in my head, I don't know if I'd be able to hold off that temptation if I were you, you know what I mean? And it's almost like a mistrusting of myself if I were in that same situation, you see what I'm saying? So it's not a reflection of how I feel about you, it's more of a reflection of the evidence that what we've been talking about thus far is making the move on Turner and this, that, and the third, and now that I feel like that might not be best for my safety next week, it's just hard to put you in a position where I'm like do what's best for my game with this choice, you know what I'm saying? As opposed to saying I'm not even gonna put you in that position, but knowing that 100% you're gonna be safe next week even if Turner decides not to vote for you, Brittany will vote for you to stay and then I'll come through and evict Alyssa. That's what I can stick to. That's where I'm coming from on that. And I hope that's not like. I hope you don't take any offense to that. It's just, I'm thinking about what I'd be asking you to do which is to sacrifice your game for mine, which is a tough thing to ask somebody to do especially at this point. If you feel very strongly that Turner being out is what's best for your game. But the fact that I am HOH and I have to make this decision for my game next week, that's... it's a conflict, and it sucks that it's a conflict to now where you, the only other option is putting you on the block, but at least in that scenario I know I can still protect the situation and say that I don't think that Brittany would make a decision to vote against you cause that would... If she did... my God. Then something's gone wrong here. Then, you had the wrong read on her. But at least from my perspective, I'd at least had a conversation with Turner, even to the point where the three of us are down there and he's talking about a final three. So it's again, like actions. Being backed up by actions, and being backed up by follow through. Like all of those thing sis what I value, you know what I mean?
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says and that's the only reason why I feel like Turner's best for my game next week. Push comes to shove, if we have to have a harder conversation next week around making a decision to move forward with the three of us vs with Brittany. It's hard especially with all of this sh** to even think that she deserves the opportunity in my hands to stay, but also I understand things from a game perspective, but I think about Turner. It's not like he's impossible to beat. Like where Michael
Taylor says done
Monte says done, right? You would have to make that move as soon as you can, which we did. It's not like he's impossible to beat, because we've shown evidence to beat him before, and he's showing a willingness to work with the both of us, and he wants to get somebody out that I do not trust, which makes me feel good about that situation. So for me, it's just
(feeds cut)
Monte says ...either way. I mean, you understand where I'm coming from?
Taylor says yeah. I do
Monte says and
Taylor says and I know you understand my frustration but I'm not going to bite my tongue until I'm leaving. Is someone coming up?
Monte says yeah it's Turner
Taylor says okay
Monet says you wanna give him a second or give us a second?
Taylor says yeah you wanna talk to him?
Monte says no no no I'm saying do you want us to have more time?
Taylor says oh yes just a quick second
Monte says okay I'll tell him
Turner opens the door
Monte says yo bro. Hey what's happening. You mind giving us a quick second here? We'll chat right after
Turner leaves
Monte says yeah
Taylor says getting to next week, safely, obviously is my top priority.
Monte says yes 100%
Taylor says I'm open to conversations with you next week about what final three can look like. Is that something that you are also looking at or are being sold on what we said last night?
Monte says yeah. no no no, I'm open to it, because I can't sit here and not consider that option. Especially depending on how next week plays out. Cause if Turner wins another HOH and perhaps, you know, ensures his safety, or if he wins... we have to consider the resumes that we're building up
Taylor says yup
Monte says and whether we'd have a fighting chance in that scenario
Monte says you know what I mean? and I have to think very objectively about things. Just as I'm thinking very objectively about this situation as well. I don't... and this is not like an emotional decision. This is like. This is the only thing that makes sense
Taylor says I just want to make sure we're on the same page. I... know you and Turner have a gentleman's agreement this week, about where his vote lies and ?? my safety next week. I had to do something to ensure that for myself. And I did not want to commit to another three, but it sounded like that was the only way to get that confirmation for me from him
Monte says and I'll say this right. If we're in a situation where um... sh** I lost my train of thought
Taylor says final three was Turner or Brittany?
Monte says oh yes yes, what I was saying is, we're in a situation where we're final two anyway. If we're burning the bridge with Turner, he's gonna have to vote for one of us anyway. And honestly he may hate me more because he feels like oh like I formed this relationship with you and you
Taylor says burned me
Monte says yeah burned you, but, my thought is, I'm even willing to si ton the block next to him next week if you win HOH and to say to Brittany go ahead and vote, cause I know in her mind it only makes sense to vote out Turner
Taylor says she's not
Monte says even if we don't have a lot of trust. it only makes sense to vote out Turner
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says I'd be fine with that
Taylor says and there's no way in the world that I would ever let her send you over Turner. Are you f***ing kidding me?
Monte says right and my resume is no where near his
Taylor says she's not getting it. If she wants second place, she's not getting second place in that scenario
Monte says so if she wants a fighting chance I think she would vote out Turner, but if that's the case, then that's the case, I'm completely fine with that. My thing is, for me, I'm telling you right now. Turner trying to establish something with me after me finding out he had a final two with Kyle this whole damn time, since week 3, it just, to me...
Taylor says has he tried yet?
Monte says he has and he's said certain things that maybe have tried to imply it
Taylor says two strongest players last season
Monte says yeah all that sort of stuff but, and I"ll just nod and wave, but my thing is, I have to take into consideration that I find out information about him by virtue of Kyle blowing it up because he's leaving
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says it wasn't like Turner was like yo I really wanna work with you. This is... No he was gonna be just fine working with Kyle until the end
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says and that had nothing to do with me, so to me I'm just not. I just can't take that as like a Joseph per se. If that was Joseph, then you'd have reason to be a little bit more concerned cause we've been talking since day one. And me and Turner have had good conversations, especially since his HOH but to find out that he had a final two with somebody else shows me that I was top priority in his case, and I'm only now just being top priority out of convenience, which I feel more than justified in saying, if I had to choose between him or you, why I would choose you, you know what I mean?
Taylor says mmhm
Monte says so, to me, that's how I feel. I'm letting you know right now. But I appreciate you, you know, having these conversations, being here for these conversations
Taylor says look. I will always see it through for the people that I've trusted
Monte says yeah
Taylor says even if between you two and by default she and I that falls to the ground, I'm not going to just let it crumble without trying to hold a bucket under
Monte says yeah
Taylor says maybe that's just who I am as a person. Maybe it's because of what I've gone through in this house, I know how conversations can expand to one point or not. I know how that can play out. So maybe it's empathy, maybe it's almost who I am but. I'd put my eggs in the baskets of people that I trust, and the basket's not being tossed around, passed around, then I can't control that
Monte says just know that we're good. I want you here next week. 100%
Taylor says Brittany's here, she's not gonna let me go anywhere
Monte says I need you here next week. Like, I'm serious about that. I can't have Brittany win that HOH, and I can't have her win that veto. Cause in either situation I feel like my game is at risk. That's why I want to make the decision for us to stay locked in and for you to be here as well as Turner because I feel like that gives me the best chances of making sure she doesn't win. That's just all it comes down to for me. It's not a personal thing or I feel more trust, or whatever have you
Taylor says yup, it's what do I do to make sure I make it to three
Monte says yeah, exactly
Taylor says and I would have the same conversation with you if I were sitting there and you were sitting here, and you know that's true
Monte says I'm glad you at least have an understanding of where I'm coming from and it's not like...
Taylor says not enthusiastic about it but...
Monte says I know, I know, I know
Taylor says and you would. I know you would trust me if I have to make the same decision too
Monte says right 100%
Taylor says and I know you would make the same counterpoints if I had to put you in the same position
Monte says 100%. Cause if I had been talking to you about getting somebody out this whole past three weeks, and I say I'm gonna put you in the ultimate temptation island here. Don't fiddle around with these find gentlemen, you know what I'm saying?
(they laugh)
Taylor says me of all people too
Monte says yes, I figured you'd resonate with that too. But that's like. That's what I was thinking, you know? Whereas Turner hasn't talked anywhere near the amount taking you out the way he has been talked about around you guys or about from you guys, and you and Brittany. Which I understand by the way. I understand from a game perspective why that would make the most sense. But that would have to be built around trust between three people. And one of those three people don't trust me, and I've seen that she doesn't trust me, so now I don't trust her. So...
Taylor says that's where we are
Monte says that's where we are
Taylor says uhh God
Monte says lovely
...
Monte says I'm gonna chat with
Taylor says Turner?
Monte says Turner and Alyssa here. I feel bad they've been sitting here
Taylor says I know I know. The conversation needed to happen
Monte says ...important conversation. And I'm... look, I'm gonna let Turner know, I just had to let Brittany know about how I feel but I will. I'm not gonna sit here and just try to ignore like opportunities to fact check certain things that he's been saying
Taylor says look, I trust you. I... good judgement, good reason. I trust you. Uhhh. If we could just not openly mention Girls Guys
Monte says Girls Guys? oh oh oh God no yeah, God no, yeah. What to Alyssa and Brittany?
Taylor says I haven't said anything to Brittany
Monte says no
Taylor says that's the same thing that I did to her last week. That you're upset that she didn't do last week. I'd just like to completely avoid that
Monte says yes. no
Taylor says it's not the game that I've played. And just to make sure I make it a week, I had to do something
Monte says yeah, there's no reason why that should be the case. And I think even for Turner's case that wouldn't make any damn sense. If I found out that that information got to Brittany from Turner, then now I can't trust Turner. You see what I'm saying? So.. that's where I'm at. And then a decision would be made swiftly because of that, so
Taylor says you know, if I told Brittany I would tell you about that.
Monte says yeah
Taylor says so, if it's out, it's not good for me
Monte says alright
Taylor says also try to find out if Alyssa heard you say that
Monte says no, I think she was downstairs the whole time. Because when she came up, she walked back downstairs. I think I just got paranoid in that moment
Taylor says sh** I would too. You got a booming ass voice. It carries downstairs sometimes
Monte says yeah I was speaking with a lot of bass but...
Taylor says alright...
Monte says alright homie
Taylor says all love
Monte says preciate ya.
Taylor says later
Monte says you can tell either one if you don't mind
Taylor says yeah. One at a time?
Monte says yeah yeah yeah one of them to come up. I think Alyssa was here first
