They go to the backyard where there are three stations: Porta Potties, Piercing Tent, and Merch Stand
Each house guest needs to scan their ticket to be sent to one of the stations, and one ticket will make its holder the "Backstage Boss"

A competition will take place at each station, and the winner of each comp will move on to the main stage where they'll compete to become the first HOH.

Pooch as the Backstage Boss will not be competing in any of the competitions tonight.

First comp at the Porta Potties: "Potty Talk"

Each round they'll hear a group of festival goers talking outside the porta potties.
Contained in the conversations are the words one, two, and three
The house guests have to identify which number was said the most times during the conversations
Once the conversation begins, they can lock in their answer at any time by hitting the answer in front of them
The first person who answers incorrectly will be eliminated
If they all answer correctly, the last person to lock in their answer will be eliminated
The competition will continue for four rounds until only one remains
The winner will advance to the live HOH competition

First conversation: Two
- all answered correctly, but Paloma was last, and she's eliminated
Second conversation: Two
- all answered correctly, but Jasmine was last, and she's eliminated
Third conversation: One
- Nicole got it wrong (answered Three), and she's eliminated
Fourth conversation: Three
- both answered correctly, but Kyle was last, and he's eliminated

Monte wins the first competition

Second comp at the Piercing Tent: "Piercing Panic"

On the piercing tables are 10 pieces of jewelry
Their job is to attach all 10 pieces to specific places on their face
The illustration on the table tells them where on their face the jewelry needs to be placed
The first person to correctly attach all 10 pieces of jewelry to their face and hit their button will automatically advance to tonight's HOH competition
They must keep playing until Julie officially declares a winner

Turner wins the second competition

Third comp at the Merch Stand: "Hanging Tough"

When instructed they'll grab onto the t-shirt above them and hold on
On Julie's go they'll be lifted off the ground
The goal is simple. Do Not Fall
If they do, they will be eliminated
The winner will be the last house guest hanging on

Daniel wins

The Head of Household competition will be between Monte, Turner, and Daniel

HOH Competition: Drumming for Power

First person to unpack their road case, successfully assemble their drumset, and hit their button will become the first HOH of the summer

Backstage Boss

Pooch will be backstage all week long
He will not be participating in any comps and he won't be voting come eviction night
But he cannot be nominated or evicted this week
And even though he's safe for the week, he will be eligible to compete for the next HOH competition

Expect the unexpected...

Being backstage boss also comes with a unique power
Pooch has the power to pick three other house guests to send backstage
Usually, being backstage is a perk, but not at BB fest
The three that Pooch selects cannot be nominated, will not take part in any of this week's competitions, and will not be voting on eviction night
But be warned, unlike him, they are not safe and one of them could be the first HG going home

- Paloma (who was out first in the Potty Talk competition)
- Alyssa (who was the first to drop in the Hanging Tough competition)
- Brittany (the belly dancer)

America's Vote can be used to keep one of Pooch's selections safe

Joe "Pooch" was making the rounds, talking to Monte and Kyle

Daniel went into the HOH room and talked to the cams for a little bit
Said he's been auditioning for the show for 10 years and that he always wanted to win the first HOH.
Said Nicole seems like the homie, Alyssa's dope.
He wanted to try to talk to Nicole last night, and if not, then today
Said Kyle's cool as hell
Alyssa's cool, her vibes are dope, and their humor is pretty on point.
Paloma's cool as hell, but she's too young for him to see where her mind would be at as far as strategy
Taylor and Indy are firecrackers, "gotta be careful". "If you f*** with them, they're coming for blood, you could just tell"
Said Turner's chill
Said It's day 1. Everyone seems like they're cool. He just needs someone to piss him off to make his life easier.
Said Terrance is cool and he's not a threat, so he's gotta keep him around, he's funny as hell.
Said "Brittany's very sweet, but also very easy to put on the block", and that it breaks his heart.
Pooch is cool
He likes too many people right now, but Nicole's the f***ing homie


Then things go to Paloma and Alyssa talking game in the corner room

They like Kyle, Pooch, Jasmine, and Nicole. Jasmine's a weak link but she has loyalty.
Paloma goes into a story about Taylor and says that she's condescending
They think of a plan to make her fall in love with one of the guys and then boot both of them out. Alyssa agrees on booting out showmances.

Alyssa says they need Jasmine as a number
Paloma says Jasmine's loyalty will take them far, she will not lie
She (Jasmine) loves Jesus. She's all about honesty

Paloma thinks Monte and Taylor "might have a thing"
Alyssa says "let's watch for two days"

Alyssa says she likes Ameerah
Paloma says Ameerah is also a prospect for their alliance

They say Daniel is comfortable because he's HOH
Alyssa doesn't think they really need him
Paloma says they need to make a girl alliance
Alyssa says girl alliances never work

Paloma says they're in the prospecting phase right now
Says she feels like Ameerah doesn't like her lowkey

They hug and say Scorpio Sisters


Later they'll be in the same room, only this time it's Paloma, Alyssa, Jasmine, Indy, Ameerah, and Brittany

They share some of their personal stories and then trash talk about Taylor

Paloma says they need a guy in their group
Alyssa refers to Monte
Ameerah says they need to get him out

Ameerah wants this six person group to be her core. They can be invited to other things, but they'll report back.

They come up with a story for Jasmine to tell when she goes up upstairs, where the others in the house are.


Paloma says they need to get in with the guys. They can't let Taylor be the "seductress"

Alyssa and Paloma go upstairs where almost the entire house is. Some are playing "Bumper Pool", and rotating players.

At some point later in the night, not sure when, Alyssa tells Indy they need strong guys for their alliance. Indy says she doesn't want to be seen talking to Monte too much because she saw Taylor looking at her talking to him.

Indy says she loves Nicole, but she doesn't think Nicole would do alliances

Indy says time is going to see (reveal) things

Alyssa says people are going to crack. She tells Indy she's never going to lie to her
Indy says she's a terrible liar (herself)

At some point Jasmine comes downstairs and tells a story about how she went upstairs and Taylor confronted her asking where the other girls are, and she had to tell her she didn't know. She couldn't tell them this story when they were all upstairs. She says they should let Ameerah know because she's still upstairs. Jasmine will repeat this story at least two more times throughout the night.

Later in the day, Paloma's talking to Jasmine and says she wants an alliance of six people, mentioning Monte and Kyle
She says she was looking at the memory wall and already picked out a final 8, but it's a crazy game.

Indy comes down and asks where the girls are. Jasmine asks what girls? and says where do you think, Taylor's up there with the guys.

Paloma comes back and says Taylor isn't up there. Jasmine asks if Taylor might be in the Have Not room, and wants to go up there. Paloma think Taylor is solidifying with the guys.

Paloma tells Jasmine that Monte was the one who wanted to start an alliance with them. He'd be drawn to them more than whatever Taylor's doing.

[The main story of the day game-wise is basically this group of girls, starting with Paloma, and then Alyssa and Jasmine, trashing Taylor]


Ameerah and Taylor were up in the Have Not room with the guys for a while. Ameerah giving tips on how to get comfortable and stay warm.


Kyle and Monte talk for a bit in the Have Not room

Monte says Jasmine and Paloma said let's chat tomorrow

Kyle says he hasn't been talking game with anyone, and he's getting a little paranoid

Monte says Pooch has been playing

Kyle says they want to keep the strong players

Monte agrees, saying they need shields, and can't stick out like sore thumbs

They say they need trust and a siloed group of information. As long as there's input and no output in the group.

Kyle thinks Daniel's a smart guy.

Monte says he feels like he's connected with everybody but he has to be strategic

Kyle wonders if nominations are tomorrow

Monte says he does too, and he wants to ask Daniel but he doesn't want to be too forward.

Kyle says yeah, you don't want to be that guy like, "can I have a minute bro" while everyone else is playing pool.


Taylor and Joseph aren't tired, so they stay up for a few minutes and chat.

At one point Joseph says game aside, there are a lot of great people here, and Taylor says yeah she thinks Paloma's hilarious.

Joseph says she has good roommates. She says she likes them, and she's still working to sus people out in the house.

Once they realize how late it is, they go to bed.

Active players (rough order)
Paloma is the probably playing the hardest right now, for better or worse
Pooch was very active yesterday. Generally favored around the house
Alyssa is riding with Paloma, but she might be better positioned. Paloma is playing a much more stressed game than she is.
Monte seems to getting along with people, many want to work with him, but Ameenah has already mentioned him as a target, and some of the girls are associating him with Taylor, and that could pose a problem
Kyle seems to be well positioned so far. One of the more social people in the house, game or not, and I haven't heard his name as a target with anyone
Jasmine just seems to be tagging along right now, especially with Paloma
Indy's position in the game seems up in the air, although she is part of the Girl Girl's alliance
Ameerah's position in the game is also up in the air. She seems to be buying into Paloma and Alyssa's game, but I'm not too sure

Less active players
Daniel has been somewhat distant as far as game talk so far, as the HOH. A lot of people are giving him space
Nicole seems to be respected around the house. Her and Daniel are active amongst each other but that's about it
Taylor has a very large target on her back right now and is completely oblivious to that
Terrance is well liked by all so far. Don't see anyone targeting him
Joseph is fairly well liked, but Pooch has a suspicion that he might rub people the wrong way.
Brittany is around, but I don't think anyone's formed much of an opinion on her. She's got somewhat of a target on her back, if for nothing else than because it's an easy target. She did manage to be in the room when the Girl Girls alliance was formed though
Turner didn't really make an impression until the Bumper Pool game, which he showed the other guys how to play
Michael isn't doing much so far. Casual conversation, but very little game talk with anyone

Daniel and Nicole are talking in the HOH room

Daniel says he's pissed that nobody's coming up. They think other people in the house are talking game

They think the guys volunteered for the Have Not room so that they could talk game with each other

Nicole says Michael's been wanting to talk game and nobody's talking, and that tells her that there are things happening

She says she's good with Monte and she's thinking about maybe Terrance. She asks if Daniel has anyone that he's not good with.

Daniel says maybe Indy, but that's because she hasn't talked game with him.

Daniel says if Nicole has Terrance and Monty, and he's good with Paloma, then...

Nicole says Kyle thinks he's her little brother, but she's good on that
She likes Turner, but she needs to see how he competes. He did win his competition yesterday though.

Daniel says he wants to be the Road Rats, from Rats to Riches

Nicole says Pooch is gonna be able to compete in the next HOH
Daniel says Pooch told him that they need to talk, and he gets good vibes from Pooch.

Nicole says she's super stoked that Daniel's on the same page as her.

Ameerah and Jasmine think Daniel is playing dumb
Ameerah says he's acting like he doesn't know when nominations are
Jasmine says, as hard as he was playing to win HOH, he knows how to play this game

Ameerah was talking to Terrance at the kitchen table earlier

She tells Jasmine that she's nervous and Terrance is nervous too because he doesn't know who the noms are gonna be

I'm still not sure if Ameerah is playing an intentional game or a clumsy game.
Between her talking game out in public spaces, and her tendency to expose all of her inner thoughts, I have no idea.

Kyle and Pooch go to the HOH room to talk to Daniel
Kyle says he doesn't want to take too much time
Michael joins in

Turner and Brittany agree to work together
Turner says as of right now he has no juice

Indy, Jasmine, Taylor, and Alyssa join Daniel and company in the HOH room
They all talk about food for a bit
The girls leave

Daniel tells the guys not to be afraid to come up to the HOH room

Pooch and Kyle play Bumper pool and talk some game
Pooch says this coming week he needs himself, Kyle, or Monte to win something
Kyle says he hopes it's an endurance comp or something. These memory ones...
Kyle says he thinks there are more girls that are outcasts than there are guys

Pooch asks which of the girls Kyle likes
Kyle says he doesn't know, asks Pooch which girls he likes
Pooch says you could see Daniel and Nicole working together already
Can already see Taylor not afraid to speak her mind

[Hard to decipher what they're saying with the voices in the kitchen mixing in]

Pooch says Monte reminds him of Xavier from last year
Kyle says he likes Joe too
Pooch repeats that he can see Joe rubbing people the wrong way at some point in the game

Alyssa comes upstairs where Pooch and Kyle are
Game talk is over.
