So Big Brother season is upon us. The series premier is going to be this Thursday. Live feeds are likely to get started on Sunday.

Today, we got the cast list, along with an interview with each cast member over at parade.com

It's funny because a lot of the answers in these interview questions, at least as far as how they're going to play the game effectively, are basically "I'm gonna be cut-throat and form social connections and blindside whoever, and they'll never see me coming". Then you get to the question of "What do you think your weaknesses are?" and almost without fail, the answer is some form of "Well I'm very empathetic and I tend to get very attached to people, so I hope that's not used against me"

Another common thread in these answers, is that nearly everyone is emphasizing their adaptability.

First tier
Morgan, Vince

Second tier
Ashley, Isaiah, and Jimmy

Sleepers
Katherine, Lauren, and Zach

Potential entertainment
Adrian

Felt like BB went and put together a good cast of people who were prepared to play the game, better than last year's cast in that respect, and then messed it up by adding a returning player. I really don't like mixed seasons. The gravity of the returning player almost always results in them either winning the game or dominating over long stretches. The interplay of different, evolving strategies that you get when everyone is an unknown to one another, ends up being diverted to account for the returnee. I'm kind of annoyed, I can't front. But hopefully the rest of whatever's going on still makes for an interesting season.

Yeah, so far this is a higher level of gameplay from last season. The cracks are there though

"You might win some but you just lost one"

I know that hurt

One of the things that makes it hit harder is that if Adrian doesn't go home, whether Rylie still wins HOH or Adrian wins, they more than likely don't get the pick wrong on who has the power
