Mission
Alan: Players, welcome to church. Please be seated. In a moment, I will read you a riddle. The answer to this riddle is written underneath one of the many urns you see behind me. If you think you know the answer you must step forward. The first player to step over this ceremonial line will then have 20 seconds to select the urn with the correct answer. You will then take this urn and smash it into the stone circle. One smash. If the urn reveals gold dust, you have chosen wisely, and will bank $2500 for the prize pot. If there is no gold dust, you will bank nothing and you will be eliminated from the remainder of the mission.
Mountbatten (DR): Crap. (laugh). I'm really useless at riddles. And to be perfectly honest with you, I can't even see those labels, so this one is really not for me
Alan: However, there is more than just money at stake here players. Each player who answers one of my riddles correctly, must place a portrait into one of these two shield frames. Once the two frames are filled, anyone who subsequently answers a riddle correctly can replace those portraits with one of their own choosing. Only those two players whose portraits are still hanging at the end of the mission will be protected from murder tonight.
Wes (DR): If you win, you have to make an enemy by taking someone else's name off of the list and putting your own on there. I'm just gonna sit back and I'm gonna let this go. I'm trying to protect myself.
Players, let us begin, and may the riddle gods be with you.
I feel pretty good about riddles. I've read a few Dan Brown books. I'm very well versed in the Harry Potter series. In fact, Voldemort used to be called Tom Riddle, and I'm kind of channeling my Tom Riddle energy today
First riddle
For Faithful and Traitor, no goal is greater. Earning this counts, as it all amounts, will someone betray for the massive payday?
Harper steps forward
Harper (DR): I don't even know what the riddle is. I didn't even listen to the question. I just want a shield. I've got shield on the brain. Shield shield shield.
Harper selects "Shield"
Danielle: What'd he say? What is it?
Harper: The wrong one, shield
Players: (laughs)
Harper: Okay, whatver I'm wrong
Alan: Bob, you said shield. Were you correct? It is now time to smash your urn into the stone circle. Cast it into the stone circle Bob
Harper smashes the urn, it's black dust
Alan: Incorrect Bob. The correct answer was gold
Wes: Moving forward we have to be far more confident. Don't do that. DOn't go, if you don't know
Round 2
When things go wrong with your plans, take a good look at the hands
As under close inspection, it will help you find direction
Derrick steps forward
Derrick (DR): You know coming into this game, I wanted to come in lowkey. But I think I have to come at this point a little bit more aggressive as a faithful. I'm starting to have more specific conversations. So I really want a shield. I feel liek I may need it
Derrick selects compass
Wes: I hope you're right
Derrick: Me and you both
Alan: It's now time to smash your urn. Cast it into the stone circle Derrick
Derrick smashes the urn. Gold
Derrick chooses his own portrait to put in one of the shield frames
Round 3
I have no feet, yet I dance
Tom steps forward
Tom (DR): I'm nervous. My heart is beating out of my chest. I've been vocal and I'm afraid. So I freaking need a shield. Really bad
Tom chooses the fire urn and gets gold
Tom puts his own portrait up in one of the shield frames
Britney: It's obvious that everyone's gonna go up there and put their own face up. So my strategy is going to be to sit quietly for at least the first few questions. You have virtually no chance of being one of the first going on the shield wall and then staying there for the entirety of the game
Round 4
Marking the landscape, it's a natural feature
One supposedly has an infamous creature
Danielle chooses the Loch urn
Danielle (DR): If I get this right, I want to make a unselfish move to appear more like a faithful
Danielle gets gold
Danielle: I'm sick of them going, so I'm gonna save a housewife
Rob (DR): What are you doing Danielle? You are literally telling them that you feel safe. I think that's a huge red flag for a traitor
Alan: You're sort of being a housewife vigilante
Danielle: Yes
Dolores: Thank you so much. I owe you one
Danielle (DR): As of right now, Dolores believes I'm a faithful. So I am trying to protect her because I feel like the other traitors were gonna try to take her out
Alan: You must now decide whose portrait you wanna remove, Danielle
Danielle removes Derrick portrait
Danielle: Sorry Derrick. I paid for a shield from you, and you didn't give it to me
Alan: How do you feel Derrick?
Derrick: A little surprised to be honest with you
Tom: I'm surprised too actually
Derrick (DR): This is Danielle, my friend, my ally, someone I've known for years. This is just a good example of what these games can do to you
Derrick: Now I gotta fucking get another one right
Danielle: Tom is a maverick, and I'm trying to make sure he is gonna be on my side, but Derrick's very upset with me, so I'm in a real pickle right now
Chrishell gets gold
Chrishell: This is really tough, but I think I'm gonna have to go with Tom
Tom (DR): Of course Chrishell got the answer right, and of course she's gonna remove my face, duh. Nothing brings her more happiness
Chrishell: I'm sorry that was a hard one
Round 6
Tom gets black
Round 7
Danielle gets gold again
Alan: Dominating this game Danielle
Derrick: Hey D, let's see how loyal you are to that housewife cause now
Danielle: Okay Derrick. Okay
Danielle picks up Derrick's portrait
Rob: What?
Derrick: She didn't have to do that
Carolyn (DR): Oh my God. What are you doing? SHe's acting suyspicious
Alan: So you have selected Derrick's portrait, why?
Danielle: He's my boy, and um
Dolores: She does love you
Danielle: You owe me one
Derrick: Okay
Danielle: I got you. I got you. I'm still gonna stick with saving a housewife
Dolores: No, Danielle don't
Danielle: Sorry Chrishell
Chrishell: That's okay
Alan: You're blessed today Dolores
Dolores: Don't you feel like you're gonna get murdered too?
Danielle (DR): urgh. Aw man I messed up. (laugh) I messed up. Now what am I gonna do? I'm all over the place. I have to stay focused at this point
Alan: So Danielle are you having regrets?
Danielle: Yep, yep, yep. Cause I think I'm gonna get killed so
Dolores: Danielle, you can't stand there and cry like this. I'm not gonna accept it
Danielle: I know I, I'm not crying alright?
Dolores: No no, I'm just saying I'm not gonna accept it
Derrick: ?? She's worried about getting murdered
Dolores: If she's that worked up about it (shakes head)
Derrick: I agree with you 100%. This is the fucking game
Chrishell (DR): It's all just very odd. It's definitely raising some flags, and they are red.
Round 8
Alan: So players we've come to our final riddle. Currently Dolores and Derrick are hanging from the shielded portraits. They are protected from murder for now. But we have one more riddle, and one more opportunity to swap their portraits
Derrick (DR): I really want this shield today and I'm hoping that my face stays up on that wall
Dolores (DR): The numbers here are getting smaller. The chances of being murdered are being increased, and I need a shield
Alan: I will now read the final riddle
Britney (DR): The last question. This is really my moment to shine. I want a shield
Alan: Roughly the size of a human fist, if your body didn't have me, I'd surely be missed
Ciara gets there
Ciara (DR): I know my name is on the chopping block. I know that I'm gonna have to be fighting for my life tonight, and I gotta have a shield. Because I need another day to just try and figure out who exactly these traitors are, and who put me in the damn coffin
Ciara selects the heart urn. It's gold
Ciara puts up her portrait, replacing Derrick's
Dolores (DR): I am feeling very blessed. I am feeling very loved. It's so strange how nice things can happen in this game of backstabbing and betrayal.
Ciara: Dolores is my girl, and like I'm gonna put my face up there if I can so I can not be murdered
Derrick (DR): You know you always want a shield, but getting frustrated does no one any good, but I was definitely not happy with the move
Alan: Players, you have used those big celebrity brains of yours to add $15000 to the prize pot. Ciara and Dolores, your portraits remain in the shield frames. Therefore, you will be spared the terror of the traitors tonight
Ciara: Thank God I got a shield. I don't know how I got a shield. By the skin on my teeth. I am so freaking happy. But having a shield almost means nothing when you haven't made it through the roundtable, and I'm so nervous for banishment
Alan: I have a final riddle for you. I'm neither rectangle nor square, each night I'm reduced by one chair, after tensions turn to full warfare. What am I?
Players: Roundtable
Alan: Bravo, yes. I'll see you there soon. Off you pop
Danielle (DR): Yeah I messed up. This traitors game is so hard. It is no cakewalk, and you have to be clever and you have to adapt. So right now I need to deflect
Alan: Players, welcome to church. Please be seated. In a moment, I will read you a riddle. The answer to this riddle is written underneath one of the many urns you see behind me.
